Apple Lightning Headphones Stopped Working

This Apple adaptor works great for connecting my old-style Apple headphones to my new lightning connection iPhone. I also got this to connect a lavalier microphone receiver to my iPhone as suggested by a B&H advisor and it works like a charm! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Full disclosure: I was sent this product to review it. Honestly, it works great for its intended purpose. I was able to charge my phone and connect Lightning headphones at the same time. I didn't notice any difference in sound quality between plugging the headphones into this product or plugging them straight into my iPhone. They also work perfectly with the 3.5 mm to Lightning adapter provided by Apple with my phone. The RockStar feels sturdy and uses Apple's signature look well. If it weren't for the Belkin logo on the Lightning plug, this could easily have been mistaken for something made by Apple. It also couldn't be simpler to use. Plug it into the iPhone and plug your headphones and power cord into either available port. There are only two things I could think of to make this product better. First would have been to have one port be a 3.5 mm jack. I only have the one pair of lightning headphones Apple provided and the adapter. I have a pile of old headphones though. My second thought would have been, if you have two Lightning ports on the adapter, let it be used to plug in two sets of headphones to act as a splitter. This may be a limitation set by Apple and not the product itself, but it would add a level of use to the RockStar. If you use Lightning headphones or 3.5 mm headphones with a Lightning adapter, this is a great product to be able to listen to music while you charge your phone. Personally, I use Bluetooth about 99.9% of the time, but I'm glad I have this product for those times I can't. 5 |

When the DVD player in my Mac stopped working I looked into fixing it. My research led me to realize this problem is easily remedied by adding an external DVD player. I also read Apple works best with Apple, so I ordered this unit and am very glad I did. It works very well. 5 |

The Apple hard drive stopped working on the 24 iMac. A it has a connector for the temperture sensor, looked to fin the substantial equivalent and B&H has exactly what was needed. Opned the unit up, put in the new drive and thinhs are working great. 5 |

Notice how Apple stopped selling their Thunderbolt Pro cable? I have one. It stopped working after a year. This Cable is solid. Hasn't failed me (yet). 5 |

The OpenMove headphones replaced a pair of Titanium headphones with a channel that stopped working. I use bone-conduction headphones during walks, as they allow traffic noise to be heard. The OpenMove are light, comfortable, and have good sound quality for podcasts. Double-clicking for the next track and triple-clicking for the previous track are nice features that the Titanium lacked. That said, the multifunction button on the Titanium was larger and easier to press. 5 |

I have used Bose noise canceling headphones for over 20 years and they just recently stopped working. I was going to replace them with another pair, but had a chance to try these out and wow, love at first listen. Nothing wrong with the Bose, but I appreciate not having to use a battery and the sound quality is enchanting. Doesn’t cut out as much background noise as the Bose, but they still do a great job. I’m an audio engineer, so I’m picky! 5 |

I moved to these from a pair of B&W PX headphones, when those ones just stopped working a week out of warranty and B&W was no help. Compared to the PX: Sony has better noise canceling. It's beautiful, just a quietness. No feeling of suction or background hiss - just silent. Really impressive. Pads are softer, and much more comfortable, especially with glasses. App is better with more customization. The Sonys use more plastic but look and feel really nice, imo. They look better on the head, due to the way the band is routed (closer on the sides of the head). I haven't tried the PX7, but compared to the older PX, the Sonys are a clear win. 5 |

It replaces one I had for a few years that stopped working. It works. 5 |
