Apple Macbook Air 2020 Magic Keyboard

If you have an Apple chip laptop (I own a MacBook Air M1 2020), and you use an external screen (yes, a 2012 Apple Thunderbolt 27 monitor), then this keyboard is a must. I will never get used to the more compact keyboards without the numeric keypad and extra buttons, but most importantly this keyboard has a magic fingerprint sensor identical to the one on your laptop, so you can close the laptop-that-never-heats-up and enjoy all the perks of logins, password and authorizations using the fingerprint sensor. At $179 it is on the pricy side, but I value not needing a cable and the sensor, so overall very much worth it.

The Apple Magic Keyboard has been one of the best, if not the best extra purchases for my 2020 M1 Macbook Pro. Everything about it has been stellar. From the typing experience, aesthetics, minimal footprint, and comfort. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss my numerical keypad section but that was a choice I made to minimize the footprint (The Apple Magic Keyboard is offered with or without this keypad section). Battery life is also more than exceptional. I've had this setup over bluetooth since the end of May 2021. Current battery life is 69 percent!

I really like the Apple Magic Keyboard for my use and purposes. The weight of the keyboard is more substantial than I had been led to believe, which is nice. It instantly connects to my Macbook Pro vie bluetooth, and the internal battery lasts quite a long while (after two weeks it still had over 50% of power left). I'm used to only using the keyboard on my Macbook Pro, so the Magic Keyboard is a very familiar piece of hardware for me.

The new 2020 Apple 13.3” MacBook Air with Retina display is the best thing to come from Apple in a long time. Slightly smaller and lighter than previous MacBook Airs, this one packs a lot value. It is a faster and smoother operating laptop than my previous 2012 version. The TruTone display provides excellent and realistic pictures from my photographs or the web. I was worried about there being only the 2 USB - C version 3 ports but that hasn’t been a problem. Ordering it from B&H was the best option I could have made. The best value compared to any other vendor, and the support staff was exceptional in making smooth and fast. Their shipping was great and they kept me updated with the movement of the package throughout its shipment. Arrived exactly when they said it would. I recommend the 2020 MacBook Air for anyone looking to upgrade from older versions. In addition, this model could be the last one to come out with an Intel chip, making this model a likely collector’s item. For those looking or an entry level Apple portable, the 2020 Macbook Air is a good value. For you usual computer work like writing, youtube, Netflix, surfing the net, Zoom meetings, and for my case, some desktop publishing the Macbook Air is fast and snappy. It can even edit my RAW files from my Fujifilm X100f pretty comfortably on Apple Photos rather comfortably. It can even handle some occasional short 4k video clips from my A7III on Final Cut without much problems. All in all very happy with my purchase.

I bought this to use with my Macbook Air M1 when connected to external monitor. I did not want to spend a lot of money for apple keyboard and always heard great feedback about satechi products so I wanted to give a try on this. I am glad I did and I could not be happier. I am using my laptop couple hours everyday and it's unbelievable how long lasting battery this device has. I almost never charge this (maybe once every 2 months.) back lit function works great when needed. Keys feel very solid and pleasant to type with. I strongly recommend this product to whom looking for an apple keyboard for a reasonable price.

Works great... it even resolved an issue I had with my new 2020 M1 MacBook Air running Big Sur 11.1 that would crash after waking from sleep when otherwise connected directly to my LG 32 monitor via the Thunderbolt 3 connection.

The Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is a game-changer. As someone who spends a lot of time typing, I can't describe the relief I felt when I got rid of my clunky old keyboard and switched to this sleek and elegant device. The most significant feature of this keyboard is undoubtedly the Touch ID. Having the ability to log in to my computer and authorize payments with just the touch of my finger is incredibly convenient, especially when I'm in a rush. The keyboard itself is Bluetooth-enabled, so it's easy to connect to my MacBook, iPad, or other Apple devices without any cables getting in the way. The keys are low profile and responsive, providing a satisfying typing experience that's both fast and accurate. One minor downside is that the keyboard doesn't have a backlight, which can make typing in low light a bit tricky. However, the build quality more than makes up for this small limitation. Overall, I've been extremely satisfied with the Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID. It has taken my typing experience to a whole new level, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a premium keyboard.
