Apple Macbook Pro 2013 Recall Trackpad Replacement

The first MacBook I received had an issue with the trackpad. I was considering taking it to Apple, but since I was within the return period, B&H shipped me a replacement with no problem. The laptop has been great ever since and running smooth. These M2 chips are fast!

The Magic Trackpad is exactly what you'd expect from Apple. It paired easily with my Macbook Pro and functions exactly like the built-in trackpad, but is slightly larger. I paired it with a silicon protective case and wrist rest I found at Amazon, and I believe this is going to help with pain issues I was starting to see from using a mouse. Highly recommend.

I have gotten used to a trackpad on MacBook Pro laptops so it is nice to have a trackpad for an Apple desktop. Pairs easily to computer by plugging in with included Lightning charge cable (another Lightning connector device - wish they would standardize to USB-C/Thunderbolt on all their devices and save different cables to have piled up on desk or in a drawer).

Worked on my Late-2013 MacBook Pro 13 Retina display. I had to call apple care since my purchase date was not reflecting in their system. (I purchased the laptop from @).

Upgraded from the old 2013 Apple Wireless Keyboard to this one and I like the scissor switch keys on this one way more than the chiclet style keys on my old keyboard. There is a nice feel to it and the Space Gray color fits the trackpad. With the numeric keypad, the trackpad is a little more off to the right than before, but I'll get used to it.

This Macbook Pro replaces my aging 2013 MacBook Air. It's fast, of course, and the display is incredibly easy to read with colors that are rich and vivid. It was easy to transfer everything from the Mac to the Pro -- and will be a great help with continuing to teach piano remotely, as well as writing, composing, and general use.

Loved my 2012 MacBook Pro, I really stressed over a replacement - initially ordered 2018 MB Air from B&H which arrived damaged and did re-think. It did feel like a hasty compromise when I ordered the MBA. I thought about how I used my 2012 MBP - mostly in one location and plugged into an outlet. The intrigue of the Mac Mini bit and stuck. I wanted BT 5.0 and that wasn't MADE available by Apple at the time. I liked the specs 3.0 chip, 256 GB etc and paired with Apple keyboard and mouse due to review complaints about connectivity with both devices. If there was an issue I would deliver all to the local Apple store and they could sort it out. I was really perplexed by Apple butterfly keyboard mechanism issues on their labtop line and their 4 year extended keyboard warranty from product introduction will roll around quickly. So Mac Mini with it's compromises (quiet speaker volume, no FaceTime camera or microphone) was decided and the last hurdle was finding a smaller display so I did not accidently knock it over. There are essentially 2 decent quality 14-16

I upgraded from my Apple MacPro 2013 which was slowing down and just outdated. MacBook Air is light weight and so fast. I am enjoying using my laptop again.
