Apple Macbook Pro 2017 Ram Upgrade

I bought my 2017 imac with 8 gigs of ram ... Apple prices for Ram  are outrageous so I picked up 32 gigs of ram from B & H more than 1/2 price cheaper now I have 40 gigs of memory will be picking up another 32 gigs soon total 64 gigs this will hep with Video Editing

I had a mid-2017 MacBook Pro 13 that was still in great condition (and thank you B&H/Phobio for a great recycle price!) but was coming to the end of Apple Care. I wanted to keep the touch bar (unlike the prevailing consensus I love it) and do not need the additional ports that are reportedly coming in the new MBPs this year with the M1x/M2 chips. The new keyboard is great, very good travel, the Escape key is back, but it is totally true that the performance and battery life are INCREDIBLE. Apps, especially Apple Apps like Safari, Mail, Calendar, and Music open instantaneously (one bounce on the Dock or less). I have not done any heavy-lifting like video processing or photo editing yet but this is a great machine that I expect will last me another three years. I highly recommend getting 16GB of RAM as Big Sur wants to run in 8GB of space!

It works just fine with the latest 2017 MacBook Pro and is less expensive than the comparable Apple adapter.

Purchased this SSD to install in my 2017 MacBook Pro. Very easy to install. This was actually an upgrade from a 120GB. Work as it should. Very fast.

Bought this for my wife for her birthday. She was using a macbook pro 2017 and this was a considerable upgrade. The 14 is big enough to work on but small and light enough to carry it around everywhere. The Matte Black color is a very nice finish and doesn't attract fingerprints. Doing a lot of research the M3 Pro chip (18/12) has the best value to performance and the 1TB HDD has enough room for my wife to make her videos. Thank god it has a SD card slot for easy uploads of video files. Light, Mobile and Powerful.

I'm upgrading from an i7 dual core macbook pro from 2017, and this is well worth the upgrade. The computer wakes instantly and it is certainly the fastest laptop I have ever used. I've been using it for a few weeks and haven't had any issues downloading or running any programs, and the design is very sleek. I'm also a huge fan of the 120Hz screen refresh rate as well, as it makes the screen much easier to look at for long periods of time!

It works just as I expected, and it looks great on my MacBook Pro 2017.

I very recently purchased a new Mac Pro 6-Core D700. Spending the money (hopefully) where it counts! Ha ha... After some googling around I came to the conclusion that I should aim for the least amount of RAM from Apple as possible, because it's really the simplest component to upgrade yourself and Apple charges an extra $ or so dollars for 64GB of their RAM v.s. an upgrade kit like this OWC! It was really a no-brainer. Anyway, it's been about 3 weeks with this memory and I have to say that I have really been enjoying it :) I'd recommend it for sure. If you know you're going to need some serious memory for multi-tasking or just intensive programs. There's not a better upgrade kit out there! OWC even sends a little tool to help you access the Mac Pro memory where Apple would just suggest using your fingers. Forget using fingers! This Mac is a 5k investment, LOL, I'm gonna treat it with some respect. Much-o thanks for the tool OWC! :D
