Apple Macbook Pro 2017 Touch Bar

I have been very pleased with the MacBook Pro 13 inch with Touch Bar. Surprisingly, the Touch Bar seems to be very useful and enjoyable to use. The updated keyboard is quiet and smooth. The processing speeds are good and I haven't encountered anything problematic yet. The only thing I would consider negative is the smell and feel of the provided power cords. It smelled of petroleum and a white paste wiped off in my hands. I received two replacements from Apple and they suffer from the same condition. Not sure if that is part of the manufacturing process or perhaps it's a bad batch. I asked Apple to look into it, and they responded (for the most part) with grace.

I had a mid-2017 MacBook Pro 13 that was still in great condition (and thank you B&H/Phobio for a great recycle price!) but was coming to the end of Apple Care. I wanted to keep the touch bar (unlike the prevailing consensus I love it) and do not need the additional ports that are reportedly coming in the new MBPs this year with the M1x/M2 chips. The new keyboard is great, very good travel, the Escape key is back, but it is totally true that the performance and battery life are INCREDIBLE. Apps, especially Apple Apps like Safari, Mail, Calendar, and Music open instantaneously (one bounce on the Dock or less). I have not done any heavy-lifting like video processing or photo editing yet but this is a great machine that I expect will last me another three years. I highly recommend getting 16GB of RAM as Big Sur wants to run in 8GB of space!

It works just fine with the latest 2017 MacBook Pro and is less expensive than the comparable Apple adapter.

I just got this new MacBook Pro for my birthday and I love it!!!!!! The Touch Bar is so handy and useful. I can use it for Siri, volume, brightness, and more! I love how the keyboard lights up so I can see it in the dark. In conclusion this MacBook Pro is the best and I totally recommend it.

I got this for my new Macbook Pro Touch Bar with only USB-C connections. Everything connected to this adapter works 100%! I have also the Apple USB Type-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter and the Naztech USB Type-C Hub 5 wich are not reliable and the StarTech beats them! Ill buy more of this item!

The adaptor was used to connect a MacBook Pro 2016 with touch bar to an older iMac with TB2 as a second monitor.

I upgraded from a 13 inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro, so the performance increase was dramatic as you can imagine. I love the all day battery performance and the industrial design a second to none. The screen, cameras, and audio quality is stunning I would suggest this laptop to anyone.

I was shopping for a case for my new 15 MacBook Pro with touch bar and viewed pretty much of the cases sold on line and came across the iGlaze Moshi clear case.which I thought would look good on my space gray MacBook Pro. The fit is perfect looks good and saves my expensive computer from scratches, I'm glad I bought the iGlaze Moshi case.

Great machine, pound for pound now equivalent to the macbook pro 13 minus the touch bar and extended battery. My only complaint is that there isn't a usb c port on the headphone side of the computer. I have been editing komodo 6k r3d files using premiere and the experience has been very positive.

I got a great deal on a limited time offer. $1100 for a brand new Macbook Pro was a steal. Although this is unique in that it is the entry level Macbook Pro and has the lowest processing power, it's very hard to tell! Unless you're using it for very processor-intensive work, it is MORE than enough to do everything. I hated the touch bar at first, but I highly recommend checking out Better Touch Tool. It lets you customize the touch bar to do anything you can imagine! Now that I've installed that, this is my favorite Macbook yet. If it's anything like my last two, it will last for many years to come!
