Apple Macbook Pro 256Gb 2020

I ordered a 2020 Air i5 256gb straight from Apple first. Had nothing but problems. Sent it back for a full refund. Ordered from B&H for a replacement because their shipping is much faster. I haven’t had any issues with this one. My job entails a lot of video meetings and at least 15 browser tabs and serval applications open at once. It has had no problems handling this. The only Mac I would get over this is the updated 16” Pro, but that’s about $1300 more. Solid device. I do not type of video editing or graphics work so i can’t speak to its ability to handle that. .

Extended my macbook pro from 128GB to 256GB now. It's useful and the cost is low. Love it.

I upgraded my 2017 MacBook Pro and it really seems it worth it. This new 2020 Macbook is very fast, has a much better battery and a totally new keyboard. As usual, Apple made a very good job!

The new 2020 Apple 13.3” MacBook Air with Retina display is the best thing to come from Apple in a long time. Slightly smaller and lighter than previous MacBook Airs, this one packs a lot value. It is a faster and smoother operating laptop than my previous 2012 version. The TruTone display provides excellent and realistic pictures from my photographs or the web. I was worried about there being only the 2 USB - C version 3 ports but that hasn’t been a problem. Ordering it from B&H was the best option I could have made. The best value compared to any other vendor, and the support staff was exceptional in making smooth and fast. Their shipping was great and they kept me updated with the movement of the package throughout its shipment. Arrived exactly when they said it would. I recommend the 2020 MacBook Air for anyone looking to upgrade from older versions. In addition, this model could be the last one to come out with an Intel chip, making this model a likely collector’s item. Check out pricing on B&H after you’ve checked the other vendors and odds are you’ll see they have the best value.

If you have an Apple chip laptop (I own a MacBook Air M1 2020), and you use an external screen (yes, a 2012 Apple Thunderbolt 27 monitor), then this keyboard is a must. I will never get used to the more compact keyboards without the numeric keypad and extra buttons, but most importantly this keyboard has a magic fingerprint sensor identical to the one on your laptop, so you can close the laptop-that-never-heats-up and enjoy all the perks of logins, password and authorizations using the fingerprint sensor. At $179 it is on the pricy side, but I value not needing a cable and the sensor, so overall very much worth it.

For those looking or an entry level Apple portable, the 2020 Macbook Air is a good value. For you usual computer work like writing, youtube, Netflix, surfing the net, Zoom meetings, and for my case, some desktop publishing the Macbook Air is fast and snappy. It can even edit my RAW files from my Fujifilm X100f pretty comfortably on Apple Photos rather comfortably. It can even handle some occasional short 4k video clips from my A7III on Final Cut without much problems. All in all very happy with my purchase.

I replaced my stock 256GB SSD for mid-2014 15” MacBook Pro with OWC Aura Pro X2 480GB. The difference is a night and day, if not more. I wish I have done this a few years back. I also have a 2018 MacBook Pro, but I use my 2014 MBP for all the ports it provides. It is amazing how 2014 MBP is still working this well with new SSD! (Optional) I would totally recommend considering cleaning out both fans and reapplying the thermal paste as well if you decided to get more mileage out of your old MacBook Pro.

When I transferred the 83GB image on my prograde cfexpress 256GB card on my macbook pro 13" m1 computer, it would altar in exactly 2 minutes. I learned that the macbook pro m1 supports 10gb/s and 40gb/s, if it did not support 20gb/s, I think it would transfer faster.

Great addition to my Macbook Pro. Adds 256GB at a much lower cost than the 512GB option when purchasing the laptop.
