Bought a MacBook Pro with USB-C ports and no vieeo output. Bought with it the Apple USB-C to HDMI adapter to drive my 4K TV that I use as a montor. The Apple product was total garbage with intermittent operation, tearing of the image, and useless to do work on. Since then I tried multiple other USB-C to HDMI adapters to run the TV in 4K resolution with similar results (although the worst what the one I bought at the Apple store.) This adapter works perfectly. Rock solid image at full 4K resolution. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a 4K monitor for a very low price to work with their MacBook Pro that has the USB-C ports only. (The 4K TV is 55 inch which I bought for about $350 at Walmart on sale.) 5 |

I have a 27 4K LG monitor that works at 60hz (refresh rate), I previously only had a Mac that could support 30hz so at the time it didnt matter. Now I have 15 Macbook Pro (2018). I paired the Macbook Pro with a CalDigit Thunderbolt 3 Mini dock with dual HDMI, which youll need if you want to do 60hz with a dock rather than just a USB-C cable/adapter. I thought any old HDMI cable would work, I was wrong and now I learned there are different capabilities of HDMI cables, basically they vary in the bandwidth they can support. This cable from IOGEAR supports 4K over 60hz, so now everything is hunky dory. I would prefer a thinner cable, but this does what it is supposed to do, and thinner cables dont go past 30hz. 5 |

I never had a color calibrated monitor, I wanted to jump to the best, I heard about Eizo for many years, and just discovered that they have 4K monitor offerings. Needing a new monitor to connect to my Apple MacBook 16 M1 Pro, my needs were wanting to find a monitor that had USB-C/Thunderbolt so I can just use one cable for video/audio/charging., 4K screen so PPI is dense enough (I got used to a retina display), and a monitor that is color accurate. Charging is at 60watts which is sufficient for my MacBook 16, and even though I enabled scaling which makes the screen look like 2560x1440 text is still sharp and easy to read. Monitor is heavy and built strong around 22 pounds, I was able to get the optional hood model number CH2700-BK, which helps a lot with office lighting and glare. The Anitglare coat doesn't have that dirty screen effect which I had in the past with other brands, text is sharp and clear. For those that are not familiar this monitor can be upgraded to HLG and PQ curves, with BT.2020, BT.709 and DCI-P3, see attached image. This will not void your warranty, you just email Eizo support asking for the installation PDF and monitor settings. Overall, this has been an excellent investment, knowing that when I edit photos or videos for youtube they are color accurate, even the panel's uniformity is the best I have seen. Also I notice when viewing this monitor for long periods of time my eyes doesn't get tired as when viewing on the Apple 5K screen for long hours. Also support is excellent, emails are very quick and phone support you get someone who knows what they are talking about, hard to say this about other monitor brands, plus Eizo is Made in Japan quality, just an amazing monitor, wish I purchased this sooner! 5 |

I bought two of these to use with my MacBook Pro M1 Max as a video editing workstation. ***Note that the only way I was able to display 4K at 60 hertz on both monitors simultaneously was to plug BOTH monitors directly to the MacBook via USB-C to DisplayPort cables. Once I did that and stopped trying to get them to work through the Thunderbolt 4 Dock I have, everything looks excellent.*** The resolution is great, as I can have Premiere Pro open on both monitors with one of the two showing the footage in the program window at close to actual size, which helps to see all the detail of the 4K image while editing. Colors look really good, and while this isn't a reference monitor designed for color grading Hollywood movies, it's plenty accurate for my videography work. Aside from video editing, text is super sharp and crisp, and photos and websites look excellent. Since it's an LCD, black levels are never going to look as inky black as they do on an OLED display, but that's to be expected. You can always get a small OLED TV to use as a makeshift client reference monitor. I originally wanted the Apple Studio Display, but at $1600 for one monitor, it was way too expensive for me. On Black Friday, I was able to snag TWO of these Asus ProArt 27 displays for under $800. That's less than half of ONE Apple display! Sure, it's not made of shiny aluminum, but who cares? Image quality is all I need, and this delivers in spades. Plus, they come with VESA mounting holes in the back as standard, so I was able to place them on a two-monitor VESA mounting arm and free up a bunch of space on my desk. I know the Apple display is 5K and this one is 4K, but two 4K monitors side by side get me way more resolution and work space than one 5K monitor. All in all, I heartily recommend this Asus ProArt 4K monitor to anyone looking for a high-res 27 LCD for content creation and general computing on a Mac (as long as you plug it in directly and not through a docking station). 5 |

Seems very good, but on a new Macbook pro I was hoping the device would allow me to connect the computer to two other screens by HDMI cables. It turns out when I use 2 x HDMI to HDMI connections the second screen comes up with 'input not recognised'. However, my second screen also has an old VGA connection and when I use an HDMI to VGA lead, bith screens come on! So works in the end but not quite as expected, and required the purchase of an HDMI to VGA cable to make it work. 5 |

This monitor is exactly what I needed in my graphic design work. Text is clear, colors are accurate and there is plenty of screen real estate for using programs like InDesign and Lightroom. For the last few years I've been trying to do design work on my MacBook Pro, built-in display. I'm so glad I finally bought an external display--it has made my workflow so much more efficient. Originally, I ordered the 2K BenQ270c but for some unknown reason (to BenQ and all others I asked) the text was terribly jagged and vector graphics in Illustrator were pixelated. If knew I kept that monitor I was going to have some major eye-strain and would have difficulty doing my job. How can I work with text if everything looks wrong? Did I get a lemon, have a MacBook Pro issue, or was 2K just not enough pixels--I'll never know! Thanks to the great customer service from B&H I was able to return the BenQ and buy the ViewSonic 2785-4K instead, which made all the difference. I had read that 4K monitors caused menu items to be too small to read, and that the extra pixels were unnecessary but that is not the case for me at all. I plugged in the USB-C cable and it immediately displayed at a perfect screen resolution for comfortable reading. My advice to graphic designers is to get a 4K monitor. Your eyes will thank you. I definitely recommend this ViewSonic 2785 4K if color accuracy is important to your job. The Adobe RGB space is perfect for the print work I do. I love this monitor for photo-editing, creating vector artwork and for layout/text work. Some reviewers mentioned that the documentation that comes in the box is not easy to understand, but I found a nice manual online that explained everything in sufficient detail. There are a lot of optional settings on this monitor which I find is a great plus. I wish I had bought this sooner! 5 |
