Apple Macbook Pro Intel Dual Core I5

The Intel Core i5 12400f is a power chip and can be highly overclocked with the proper motherboard. It works excellent stock as well, very good for the cost. Highly Recommended.

Upgraded from a 2012 MacBook Pro with a dual core processor to the 2020 MacBook Air with a quad core. That plus having a SSD hard drive instead of a traditional hard drive has made using a Mac fun again. Ordering was easy and computer arrived via FedEx in 2 days.

I'm upgrading from an i7 dual core macbook pro from 2017, and this is well worth the upgrade. The computer wakes instantly and it is certainly the fastest laptop I have ever used. I've been using it for a few weeks and haven't had any issues downloading or running any programs, and the design is very sleek. I'm also a huge fan of the 120Hz screen refresh rate as well, as it makes the screen much easier to look at for long periods of time!

I got this MacBook as an upgrade to my MacBook Air with intel i5 and butterfly keyboard. It is a night and day difference. This fixes everything that was wrong with my old laptop and should last me another four years at least.

I wanted to buy a Mac Mini, but my budget was limited. I finally decided on a model with a 6-core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. The unit was on sale at B&H for $999, a saving of $100. The SSD size is fine--I can expand storage with the use of external SSDs, which are becoming increasingly affordable. I wanted more RAM, but that gets expensive at Apple's prices. Then, on checkout, B&H offered me 32 GB of RAM (to replace the existing 8 GB) for $128. That looked appealing, but, klutz that I am, I was unwilling to open up my new computer and try to install the RAM myself. Then I saw that B&H would install the RAM for me for $40. And, since their techs are Apple-certified, the installation would not void my Apple warranty. I went for it. Bottom line: I got a Mac Mini with a 6-core i5 processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD for $1167. A Mac Mini identically preconfigured by Apple would have cost me $1699. I saved $532 (31 percent).

Before I got this processor I had a dual core 3.3 gz intel processor. It was trash. The only game that needs all of the processing power possible is Arma 3, which I can now play at high/very high settings. My performance overall has been trippled. I have the noctual d15 mounted as my fan. I'd recommend this if you have anything below an i5 7600k. If you've got above that, wait for the price to go down a bit.

I bought two of these, one from Apple and the other from B&H, and B&H rocks with speed of delivery. One of them is for my MacBook Pro 14 which I use Dual Display mode sometimes and most of the time the other monitor is for my Work DELL Latitude 3420 with USB-C and it's putting up a 5K Image. With the firmware update, the camera is good enough for me for Zoom and Facetime. These replaced my tried and true Apple Cinema 27 Displays. I love Apple Monitors, nothing else compares by a long shot.
