Bought this for my late 2011 MacBook Pro that was desperately needing an upgrade. Had it installed yesterday and moved my old hard drive over. Everything is so very much quicker. I'm satisfied. I'm very happy with the performance of this disk with my late 2011 MacBook Pro. My MBP only has USB 2.0, so there's only so much performance I can get, but unlike reviews I saw for another brand of USB3.0 disk when used on a Mac like mine, this one seems to stay within USB2.0 power limits and works flawlessly. I reformatted for use with Time Machine and feel confident in the storage. 5 |

Installed this SSD in my late 2013 MacBook Pro. Needed to install in the computer then install the original Apple SSD in the OWC carrier. Then boot holding the option key. This booted the computer with the Apple SSD. Then used OWC recommended carbon copy to clone the OWCSSD. This worked great. It’s been three weeks and all is good. It’s great that OWC have a five year warranty on this drive. 5 |
