Apple Magic Mouse 2 Light Click

This is my third Mac mouse. The preview two used Apple's clever, tiny roller ball. One was wired, the other wireless. They worked fine when new but over time the roller ball suffered as all mice roller balls due because of lint, dirt, dust, etc. They stops rolling. Worse, Apple's roller ball cannot be cleaned and eventually has to be recycled. (I took one apart to prove this to myself.) The new Magic mouse uses no roller ball. In fact it has no moving parts at all! No orifices to become clogged, no cleaning to do. Instead, it uses trackpad-like technology. Users drag one or two fingers across the surface for different scrolling effects, and click the left or right side for a traditional left or right click. The Magic mouse fits comfortably in hand and is delightfully handsome, just as you'd expect from Apple. It runs off AA batteries which appear to last longer. And, of course, it is wireless. Setup was easy and efficient. No surprise. The Magic mouse works flawlessly with or without an optical mouse pad and seems gentle on surfaces (should you be using a nice wooden desk, e.g.). My only complaint is the price. But you come to tolerate higher prices from Apple because their products are superior. And that, I figure, is only fair.

I have always used an Apple Magic Mouse. I also have used other mice at workstations from time to time. Never have I ever had a mouse fit so perfectly for my hand. Its just a natural feeling. Every other mouse now feels foreign and difficult after getting use to this mouse. I do miss some gestures from the Apple Magic mouse, but you can map the additional 3 buttons on the MX Vertical to do whatever you want. If your looking for a great mouse, you can stop your search here. :)

It may not be for everyone but it serves my purposes great. After using an Apple Magic Mouse for many years, not ergonomic by any means, it became all too clear I need something that was much easier on the hands and wrist. This certainly fits that bill. And having been spoiled by the functionality of the Magic Mouse I was looking for something that I could program. This meets that and more. The options are limitless. You just need to figure out what you do the most of and program those. In all I have 9 different functions programmed into the mouse. A great mouse if you are looking for ergonomics and functionality.

I first bought the Apple Magic Mouse. It was not at all what I expected. I'm sure it is a good mouse, but not worth nearly $75 dollars. Part of the magic is that it doesn't have a roller for scrolling... it uses your finger across the top of the mouse instead. I prefer the roller. I set the Apple Magic Mouse at the fastest speed, and it was still too slow. I had to move the mouse across the entire pad to get the curser to move a few inches. The MS Surface Mouse performs great, feels comfortable in the hand, and at a good speed.

I've used track balls, wired and wireless mouses. The Apple Magic Mouse is bluetooth, which is quite nice! It's like a mouse and trackpad combined, which has been quite pleasant to use. My only issue is sometimes I end up flying across an Excel spreadsheet with a slight finger twitch. Still severe muscle memory using older devices. Other than that, I really like this magic mouse!

I replaced the Apple Magic Keyboard because it didn't light up.

This is far superior to the Apple Magic Mouse. Although it is larger it has great connectivity, is customizable, has great tactile feel and actual buttons. Color is complimentary too the MAC desktop.

Went from a Magic Mouse from apple to this and won't go back. More comfort all the way around. Great for editing. Its customizable. Great design.

I swapped to this mouse after reading over and over again how it was one of the best productivity devices available. I have been a long time user of Apple's Magic mouse simply because I like the touch surface. I now use the scroll wheel with no ratchet and its great. Having all the extra programmable button takes some getting used to but once you get into the habit of using them it really speeds up my workflow. The built quality seems excellent and I also like the quiet mouse clicks. It came half charged and I still haven't needed to plug it in for a recharge yet. Really pleased!

I've been using Bluetooth mice with my Macs since they became available several years ago, and the Apple Magic Mouse is easily the easiest to use and configure of all the various compatible brands out there. It's a bit more than the competition, but the reliability and ease of use justify the extra cost, IMHO.
