Apple Mini Displayport To Vga Adapter Cable

The Kramer DisplayPort to VGA Adapter Cable has allowed me to still use my NeC MultiSync P221w with the latest computers. It works great.

Works great. It's an Apple product, and it's pretty much the only way to be sure that you're ordering a Thunderbolt 2 cable in the mini-DisplayPort form factor. I needed to connect two old MacBook Airs, and this made it possible.

It's a Mini DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter. It either works or doesn't. Mine does. Hooray technology!

It's always better to have single cable, than to use an adapter and a cable. This one does the job of connecting a DisplayPort to HDMI device.

When I had to replace the old video card for new Radeon RX 590 model in my wife’s 2012 MacPro, the up graded required a 1.4 DisplayPort to Apple Mini DisplayPort the adapter so that she could continue using her Apple 27-inch Cine-Display. I had it plugged into my computer and then used a gigaware adapter to convert from Mini DisplayPort into DisplayPort (which is what my monitor had available). This adapter worked fine from my usb-c enabled iMac and MacBook too, into an older 24 inch Samsung monitor at monitor's resolution (2560x1440).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this adapter to connect an old VGA monitor a new Apple M1 mini. I had a lesser brand adapter performing this function previously and had an issue wherein the connection between the computer and monitor would frequently become lost, requiring the adapter to be unplugged and replugged to regain a display. I understand that this is a common problem affecting the Apple M1 line of computers. I am proud to say that in my time with this adapter I have NOT experienced this connection failure a single time. Poorly made adapters are known to exhibit flickering screens, inaccurate colors, or slow display response and I have seen none of these issues with the Belkin USB-C to VGA adapter. Likewise it was compatible with color calibration as if no adapter was present, which is the hallmark of a truly quality adapter. Belkin products are known for quality and you can trust the name. This adapter may be nominally more expensive than a no-brand counterpart but the performance, reliability, and complete lack of headaches are all worth every penny of the price without question. If you have an older VGA monitor that you want to breathe new life into this product is hands down the best solution (and far less expensive than purchasing a new monitor).

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive.
