This docking station was easy to set up. The quality of it seems to be nice and the docking station looks premium. It seems to be working flawlessly for what I need. I really like that it is light and works nicely with my Chromebook and 2 monitors. The packaging comes with UD-MSTHDC Docking Station, power adapter, USB-C and USB-C cable.

This Apple Thunderbolt 2 cable, was the cable needed to connect an older desktop MacPro(late 2013) computer to a OWC Thunderbolt 3 docking station(note: a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor is needed to connect the computer to a Thunderbolt 3 docking station. I’m able to use my laptop, phone, speaker and any other device I want. I wish the docking station was more sturdier. This Plugable docking station is equipped with 1x USB-C port for 5Gbps data and 20W charging, 4x USB 3.0 5Gbps ports, Gigabit Ethernet, an SD Card Reader, and audio in/out ports. I recommend this device to people who love using electronics.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I wasn’t sure how useful this docking station would be, but once I opened it up and checked out all the port options, I realized how many possibilities this opens up. When I connected the dock to a power source abd my device, it came up very quickly, without any connectivity issues. Now I can use my device to plug in a webcam, use headphones, connect to an external monitor, import files, etc. In addition to being very useful, it’s also very well-made. It has a nice weight to it and feels very sturdy. This is a great product and I’d happily recommend it to others.

I have been using the docking station for about 3 weeks. tried both the e-sata connection and the USB3 cable. I using the device as a storage point for system backup. The read write speed is nearly twice the speed for the usb3 is nearly twice the spe3ed of the e-sata connection. I have not experienced issues with the HDD failing to register with the OS. the docking station has been highly reliable.
