Apple Photo Editing Program

I love this product which offers a sophisticated photo editing program along with cloud based viewing. There are instructional videos included for learning which I do not recall being connected to the software in the past. Adobe photo processing software is the standard in software and it's price is affordable. What more could anyone want?

Bought this computer with 8GB RAM for my video/photo editing, and upgraded with these for cheaper than the Apple cost, and oh man did it change things fast. So happy the RAM isn't soldered into these machines. I added these to the 8GB cards already in there to total 72 and it seems to work fine. (I saw that question a lot and also wondered). When installing make sure to press them firmly into place or the door won't close the right way! :) I love B&H. Shipping is always on point too.

My previous photo editing/cataloguing method was using Aperture and then Apple Photos, while I still like Photos for storing and sharing my library, now I use Lightroom to edit (in RAW) and now only keep my favorites in Apple Photos for sharing. You simply cannot beat the straightforward and powerful toolset in Lightroom. I highly recommend this product, especially since I got it during a deal on B&H. I would still pay full price if I didn't have a choice.

It's an Apple computer, & as such, no surprises if you're familiar with the brand. Biggest difficulty is determining what level of Macbook Pro to get, as it's pretty impossible to upgrade later. I went with 36 gb of ram and 512 gb ssd. The ram was necessary for photo editing, and although the ssd is small, it's large enough to hold all the programs, and storing photos on external drives is necessary if you're taking a lot of photos. An external 2 TB ssd is less than the cost of upgrading the Apple ssd from 512 G to 1 TB. Get a firewire or usb 3 ssd and you won't notice any lag in loading. The price from B&H was better than ordering direct from Apple, Amazon, Best Buy (yeah, they've got a local store, so I checked) or any other legitimate online store. Order was delivered on time and in excellent condition. Anyway, I upgraded from a 2017 Intel iMac desktop. This is significantly faster. I haven't done any movie editing yet, so can't speak to that, but it runs Luminar Neo, ACDee, Topaz Photo AI, and the Affinity photo applications well. Get a good hub that uses minimum usb 3 and you'll need a good external monitor, as 14 is too small for serious photo editing. Hope this info helps.

Excellent display and enough power for mobile photo editing. Together with the Apple Pencil, it makes for a great digital notebook. I'm glad I went for the larger size; it was worth it for my use case in spite of the reduction in portability. The mini LED technology makes for great looking HDR content. There is a little blooming, but it never bothered me; this is very much a matter of personal preference. The only thing I don't like so much is the OS: it's far too limiting and phone-like for a device this powerful. XCode/VS Code on this would be fantastic.

I was having trouble moving from pc to apple laptop when doing photo editing in particular. The Magic Mouse allows me to be more precise in my movements. Love it!

Used primarily as a playback deck for editing of a church program.

this is truly the best photo matte paper available. It is the paper that our outstanding photo program uses.

Excellent monitor for photo editing.

Hands down the best photo editing software out there.
