This adapter is extremely useful - it comes in handy all the time! I use it with my new Apple M1 MacBook Pro - it allows me to plug in numerous drives, an SD card and even power! I'm using this inside of my mid 2015 MacBook Pro with an NVMe to Apple SSD adapter, and it's working very well. It's very fast, definitely faster than the stock Apple SSD, and with its large capacity and high endurance rating, I expect it to last quite a long time. This is a double sided M2 drive, so the larger version of the NVMe to Apple SSD drive adapter (with its larger PCB) does not fit this drive properly, but the smaller adapter (which is basically just a short connector) fits a MacBook Pro really well. For normal uses outside of a MacBook, this is a standard size double sided M2 drive, so these odd details are probably of no consequence to anyone else, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. I've been very happy with the FireCuda 520 drives in the past, and the 530 is just as nice, and even faster. I can't wait until the 4TB versions become more available and more affordable. Totally happy with this drive! 5 |
