Protection plans aren't very exciting, but I did manage to get some valuable use out of the protection plan I purchased years ago for my mid 2010 MacBook Pro when its motherboard developed some cold solder joint problems and needed to be replaced just as the plan was running out. I'm typing this on my new 14 inch MacBook Pro which I just purchased to replace that mid 2010 MacBook Pro that I have used daily for almost 12 years. Purchasing the protection plan was worth it. 5 |

I use my MacBook Pro for home use, but it's nice to know that whatever happens within the next 3 years (if anything) will be covered by the plan. Be sure to register the plan with Apple and have them change the date of cost to your actual purchase date. 5 |
