Apple Superdrive Macbook Pro 2020

This USB SuperDrive by Apple burns fast and plays well. Being USB, it's extremely portable. Before you purchase, make sure you're computer is compatible. Compatible with the following computers: MacBook Pro with Retina display MacBook Air iMac (late 2012) and later Mac mini (late 2009) and later Mac Pro (late 2013) This could save you some heartache if you have an older Mac Pro with a bum DVD burner. 5 |

It works I tried several aftermarket adapters to get my superdrive to work with my 2016 MacBook Pro but only the Apple Adapter worked 5 |

If you own an iMac or macbook that had an original cd/dvd, then you took the original cd/dvd out to upgrade the hard drive like I did, you will find the hard way that Apple crippled the Apple Superdrive so as not to work on such upgraded machines. Why? Who knows... I made the mistake of thinking the Apple superdrive would work on my upgraded iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011). Nope. So I returned it and bought this LG burner. It's something like $ less than the superdrive and oh by the way, IT WORKS. Now, if you have an iMac or macbook that did NOT come with a dvd/cd built in, the Apple SuperDrive WILL work on your computer. But heck, I'm hear to tell you, why spend the extra $ bucks? Just get this. 5 |

I upgraded my 2017 MacBook Pro and it really seems it worth it. This new 2020 Macbook is very fast, has a much better battery and a totally new keyboard. As usual, Apple made a very good job! 5 |

Not by any means my first SuperDrive but my first external unit. Runs quiet, connecting cable is long enough and accepts and ejects discs with authority. Judging by my personal experience with SuperDrives they run near flawlessly even with heavy use. My first one in a Mac G4 Tower (Quicksilver) still works as does the one in my 2006 17" MacBook Pro Those two are semi retired but I have one in my 2012 15" MacBook Pro which has burned hundreds of discs reliably. The new one is for my 2015 27" iMac. If you need to have an optical drive and don't need to read or write Blue Ray, this is your best choice. There are less expensive ones out there and I've tried a few and they wear out quickly and are finicky about which brand of blanks you feed it and sometimes even reject a factory replicated disc. 5 |

Since my new MacBook Pro does not have a DVD player I needed to get this SuperDrive. It is so handy (of course, not as handy as having it built in to the laptop but still very nice. Quite pleased with ALL my Apple purchases! Happy Holidays to all! 5 |

I purchased this USB SuperDrive along with the MacBook Pro since it didn't have one. I plugged it in and it works just fine. Happy with it. 5 |

The new 2020 Apple 13.3” MacBook Air with Retina display is the best thing to come from Apple in a long time. Slightly smaller and lighter than previous MacBook Airs, this one packs a lot value. It is a faster and smoother operating laptop than my previous 2012 version. The TruTone display provides excellent and realistic pictures from my photographs or the web. I was worried about there being only the 2 USB - C version 3 ports but that hasn’t been a problem. Ordering it from B&H was the best option I could have made. The best value compared to any other vendor, and the support staff was exceptional in making smooth and fast. Their shipping was great and they kept me updated with the movement of the package throughout its shipment. Arrived exactly when they said it would. I recommend the 2020 MacBook Air for anyone looking to upgrade from older versions. In addition, this model could be the last one to come out with an Intel chip, making this model a likely collector’s item. Check out pricing on B&H after you’ve checked the other vendors and odds are you’ll see they have the best value. 5 |

If you have an Apple chip laptop (I own a MacBook Air M1 2020), and you use an external screen (yes, a 2012 Apple Thunderbolt 27 monitor), then this keyboard is a must. I will never get used to the more compact keyboards without the numeric keypad and extra buttons, but most importantly this keyboard has a magic fingerprint sensor identical to the one on your laptop, so you can close the laptop-that-never-heats-up and enjoy all the perks of logins, password and authorizations using the fingerprint sensor. At $179 it is on the pricy side, but I value not needing a cable and the sensor, so overall very much worth it. 5 |
