I'm not much for buying extended warranties except for high price equipment that can be prohibitively expensive to repair once they're out of warranty. My Mac computers fall into that category but, just as important, after 90 days tech support by phone stops unless you have Applecare. Apple's phone tech support has been excellent and I wouldn't want to be without them when needed. I've also had my Macbook fixed....while I waited....at my local Apple store with the cost being covered by Applecare. That's when you realize how essential this repair insurance is.

Everything worked great out of the box as soon as I signed into my iCloud account. I used the migration assistant to move my applications from my old computer to the new MacBook Pro. At that point Safari stopped working. I went online using my old computer and found Apple support. The site said to put in my telephone number and the product serial number and someone would call me back within two minutes. In less then the two minutes I received the callback and the woman at Apple stayed on the phone with me for a long time until she found that my old computer had a later version of Big Sur than my new computer. Once she had me download the latest update to the OS, Safari, as well as everything else worked perfectly. The excellent Apple support was great. The new machine works so much faster than my six year old iMac that it is unbelievable.

With Apple care, you really have the best support in the industry. Getting to an expert ON THE PHONE usually takes less than 5 minutes. They are knowledgeable, and can solve most any issue. If you have a hardware problem, I have had a technician and the replacement parts at my door in 1-2 days.

It's worth the money if only for the excellent phone support you get for the duration. You probably won't need the repair or replace features. My experience with Apple products (since 1992,) has been excellent with out need for service or repair in the first 3 years. Use the Apple Care Support phone number and get any and all your questions or concerns taken care of with competent and caring support advisors. They stay with you until your problem, concerns or questions as dealt with to your satisfaction. I consider it to be one the best reasons for owning an Apple computer or product.

This product was easy to register and use. My 90 day phone support was up and I needed help from Apple. After registering I called Apple with my problem. All together I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Apple support. They helped me track down my problem in the Library and delete certain files that were causing my problem. I am fairly computer literate but could not have done it by myself.

I always purchase AppleCare on my Apple products. Having free phone support for a full three years is great and also when hardware fails Apple is prompt and thorough with their repairs.
