This Apple Thunderbolt 2 cable, was the cable needed to connect an older desktop MacPro(late 2013) computer to a OWC Thunderbolt 3 docking station(note: a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor is needed to connect the computer to a Thunderbolt 3 docking station. That's right, this adapter allows you to connect your Dell Alienware 17 computer (Thunderbolt 3 adapter) to an Apple 27 Thunderbolt display...and it WORKS!!! I use this dock station to connect to Apple Mini-2013 with Thunderbolt 2 port. The Apple Thunderbolt 3 - 2 adapter will be required. I also connect the main Bootable external SSD disk to this Dock station USB-C Gen 2 port. The read/write speed is better than the Mini USB 3.0 port. It is small enough to place on the computer table everywhere. It has a smart sleep mode when the Mini went to sleep mode. I will recommend this dock station for older or newest model type of Apple laptops or desktops for additional Thunderbolt/External display/USB port/Audio connection usage. It fits for Apple computers have (Thunderbolt/Thunderbolt 2 - with Apple Adapter)/Thunderbolt 3 port. I am very happy with this NEW dock station. 5 |
