My original Apple cable start to fall apart after years of use. With the talk of possible Apple switching to USB-C in the near future. I didn't want to spend too much money on Lighting cable. Found this for a lot less than Apple's own cable, long enough and flexible. Works well but as for reliability, that will have to wait and see but it is looks and feels well made enough.
