Apple Usb Ethernet Adapter Not Connecting To Internet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Belkin USB-C to Ethernet + Charge Adapter 100W complimentary from Belkin and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. The Belkin USB-C to Ethernet + Charge Adapter 100W has been a huge game changer when it comes to my Teams meetings/video calls. In the past, I was missing out on critical information because of the internet lag, and calls were being dropping due to my internet's speed. With the Belkin USB-C to Ethernet + Charge Adapter 100W plug-and-play adapter, I no longer have a lag or have to worry with those calls dropping off. The adapter keeps my computer charged and my connection completely sound while I'm hardwired. So far, I'm pleased that the adapter hasn't overheated and has stayed cool to touch. The adapter is both small and portable, and works with most USB-C compatible devices. The Belkin USB-C to Ethernet + Charge Adapter 100W provides an Ethernet port, charger, and a nice boost of internet speed, all in one device, at great price. In my opinion, you can't go wrong!

The product is great but please note in order for the adapters to work, they must be hooked to the Apple 12W USB Power Adapter (i.e., iPads &/or similar for laptops). Choose a plug from the World Travel Adapter Kit. The International plug goes into the foreign wall but you will see it has no connecting area for the US end. Take the 12W Apple USB adapter and pull it apart at the corner. You will find a hidden area that now allows you to slid your International plug adapters backside into the 12W USB adapter. Thus creating a male/female electrical connecting area. Took 2 hours on the phone with Apple for them to find this answer as it is not in the booklet nor on any web page. Apple called a local store to finally get the answer.

The USB-C to Ethernet + Charging adapter charges your connected device while also providing an ethernet connection, so no need for multiple connectors. I have been using this on my Android phone and my laptop, both devices have a USB-C port and my Belkin adapter worked great on both devices. It provided an adequate charge and a stable internet connection without any issues. The adapter was immediately recognized by both devices and there was no need to install any software to make the adapter work. The adapter is also small and portable enough to carry with you anywhere you go. I would highly recommend this adapter to anyone looking for an ethernet + charging adapter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This adapter works like a charm! I was able to plug in both an Ethernet and charging cable without any issues. My internet speed was much faster (download speed improved by 140 mbps, and upload speed improved by 200 mbps) when using the Ethernet cord, which is really nice considering that my MacBook doesn’t have an Ethernet port. I’m excited to be able to have fast internet and charge my Mac at the same time!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the design of the adapter, it feels well made, it fits easily in my computer case, the inclusion of a ubc-c port next to the ethernet port means you don't lose the ability to plug in external devices or charge, and it's plug-and-play (so no driver download or setup). Being able to charge at the same time is quite an important feature as on many Chromebooks like my sons, it has only one multi-purpose usb-c port, used for charging and external devices. There are a couple of situations that this is/has been VERY useful: -A couple of weeks ago my Dell XPS ultrabook updated and messed up the wifi, none of the normal solutions worked, and when Windows diagnostic suggested plugging into the router via an ethernet cable... well, ultrabooks don't normally have ethernet ports. -As an avid amateur photographer, I create a ton of photos, I save to a couple of hard drives but also to a personal cloud and a cloud service (call me paranoid). Over wifi, transferring 10-20 Gb of data takes ages. With this device, files are transferred in a fraction of the time. To sum up, I love this adapter, I don't need it often, but when I do it's invaluable! -Pros Small, well made, faster internet/data transfer, able to power computer and plug-in internet at the same time, good for internet emergencies, plug and play. -Cons The high gloss black finish attracts finger prints.

I replaced a previous VAVA adapter because it was dropping the ethernet connection. This one does not have that issue. It has one less USB connection, but that is not an issue for me.
