This is the sixth Sabrent enclosure for M.2 NVMEs that I've purchased. All work well. All are enclosing 2TB SSDs and are utili m This Sabrent enclosure for the M.2 SSDs is the sixth one I've purchased of this Sabrent model. All SSDs are 2TB, five are Crucial brand, one is WD. They are being used as external drives for three Mac desktop systems; one each of Intel i5, Apple M1 and Apple M2. All are working great. Speeds are limited only by the USB bus speeds of each computer. I appreciate that the Sabrents come with the necessary cables.

Five m.2 ssd expansion

This worked flawlessly for cloning a SATA M.2 drive that I had. I didn't check that it works with NVMe M.2 drives, but others have said that it does. It got a little warm while running, but it did clone an entire 128G drive in only a few minutes. One minor annoyance is that it doesn't use an M.2 screw, but rather some weird rubber nub that I found hard to use. I would prefer a screw, but it says it's tool-free so that's not exactly a surprise. I like the push-button clamshell thing it's got going on, but the instructions make it clear that it can really mess up your cable if you forget to take it out before opening the enclosure. It also only comes with a (really short) C-to-C USB cable. But I guess it's kind of expected that you're using newer hardware if you have M.2 drives. There are a whole bunch of cheap M.2 enclosures that are notorious for using unreliable JMicron controllers that run really hot. This appears to use a Realtek RTL8210b controller, which runs much better and does actually support NVMe and SATA. I didn't physically check that it does have that chip, but others have, and you can see for yourself what firmware is provided for this drive on Sabrent's site.

This cable makes super-fast data transfers. I hooked it up to my Xcellon M2NS USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 M.2 SSD Enclosure and was very impressed with the speeds it provided. This cable and an M.2 drive are a match made in heaven and give blazing speeds. It also rated for 8k or dual 4k monitor support which is fantastic. Another nice plus is it is rated to handle 240w power delivery so it can be used to charge or power most accessories (laptops, peripherals etc.). This cable is definitely future proof and ready for whatever you throw at it, including the ability to daisy chain up to 6 additional devices. It is designed to work with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, and USB-C so it is very versatile. The build quality is also fantastic. Cable feels great and is flexible but still sturdy. Connectors seem to be made of quality materials and should last a long, long time. This cable is great. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
