Apps Games Run Slow On My Android Phone

I have used the Amazon Fire Stick, Matricom G-Box Q and Roku 3 for a while. I had been thinking about getting the NVidia Shield TV for a while and finally decided to get it when the new version with Amazon and the smaller footprint was released. I have played with it for about 2 weeks and I have to say that this is the most powerful box I have used as far as Android TV is concerned. I have SlingTV, YouTube, Amazon Video, Plex and Kodi apps that I use most often. I do have a 32GB usb stick connected to save apps and data there since I have the 16GB model. That works but apps do take a little longer to start from the USB. I did install a few games that the kids enjoy playing and they work great. Some games do crash every now and then such as Hungry Shark but not all. The included remote and came controller are easy to use and get used to. This box makes using Android TV enjoyable whereas others promise performance that diminishes quickly over time. I would highly recommend this box to anyone who doesn't mind spending $200 and values performance and quality of cost. This box replaced a Roku, G-Box and Chromecast for me and I don't have to buy a separate gaming console for the kids, at least for a little while.

The highlights are the refresh speed and Android system. You can really run almost any Android app on this, and the eink display is beautiful Wishes. It comes with very few apps installed so you have to build your own baseline. Makes for a fairly boring out of box experience.

Have been using it for a week now and performance has been great. Used it to run many work apps simultaneously and games like Apex Legends and Rocket league with video preferences almost at best with no issues, runs these games at 30 to 40 fps, and 40 to 50 respectively at 1080p. Note that I don't have a dedicated GPU, only the vega 11 in this processor doing all the work. I also tried Minecraft and it helped to generate a new world in no time. I'm downloading COD Warzone and Fortnite to see how it behaves, will try to update further.

My issue is I cant get wifi direct to 2ork even with solutions followed and new phone android 8.

I have MLB.TV on my phone, and this cable allows me to watch games on my 55 HDTV. Not to mention many other apps on my iPhone like Netflix and Hulu

I have just received it and used it lightly, but am very satisfied. My android phone does not like to connect to a wifi network that is not connected to the internet; this means I have to disable 3G internet to access the mixer, but other than that I have had no conectivity issues.

My Android phone cable frayed and was about to break. I replaced with the Pearstone 6' USB cable. Should have replaced it long ago. Those short cables included with your phone are of such poor quality and way too short. This is an excellent cable!

My expectations for a $ Peavey product were very low, but this device just works, and it works well. I have used it on my Sony Xperia Android phone, various pc's, and a couple macs and it performed very well. This is the most cost effective way to get balanced audio from your various devices, with good sound quality.

I have had a Roku 4k and this is so much better. It is faster and able to run more apps. A lot more expensive, but if you use it daily, and I do, then it is definitely worth it. My only critique is the round footprint. You have to wedge it into something, because it rolls off tables, unsurprisingly. Maybe a triangle (like the remote) would've been a smarter idea Nvidia???
