Archived 1099 Quickbooks Online

For my jpg pictures, most are archived online. But corresponding raw mode files are big and can't upload in any of the photo web sites like smug or flickr. So the options are pay for cloud storage or backup in disks. I do the latter. I buy a new disk every year. So keep 2 - 3 redundancy for all pics. Older disks will be reused for some other application. For me being s/w person, these disk spaces can be filled quickly, so not an issue. In a few years disks wear off and I discard. WD is one of my favorite disks. Makes less noise, more reliable and pretty fast.

I am using them to store my archived HD's. Fit just right.

The features are almost mind-boggling. Performs two-sided scanning if needed, and the scan speed is the fastest I've ever encountered. Scan quality is excellent, even for color. The user-friendly software allows me to review each document or receipt before saving or exporting, so if I need to make adjustments I know right away. I use Quickbooks desktop version for accounting and had no trouble at all identifying fields and info I wanted to save and export. Should work equally well for Quickbooks online version. Being able to export as a "searchable PDF" is a big plus. It can also save documents as Word file or Excel spreadsheet data or even Powerpoint (Windows version). It even scans business cards. That's versatility not found in run-of-the-mill scanners. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but worth every penny if it saves time and frustration over manual recordkeeping and document retention. Setup was a breeze right out of the box and it has a very small footprint. It can be used either wired or wireless, with the ability to send scans to email or a smartphone. This thing does it all. I'm definitely impressed and will be recommending it to friends and family. My nephew is a farmer and my neighbor is a truck driver, and both professions require extensive recordkeeping. I'm sure that once they've tried this scanner the benefits will be obvious, especially to their wives who do all the accounting! This is so fast for editing, and current video projects (to be later archived on other storage). Very good.

After filling up my NAS with Data, I needed a slick way of accessing archived data quickly, without having to upgrade from my 2-bay Synology 218+ to a larger 4+ bay model, and this did the trick nicely. I upgraded my NAS from 2 4tb drives to 2 10tb drives, then formatted my old 4tb drives for archived files. I can now drop in my 4tb drives into the OWC drive dock, access them for specific data quickly, then unmount and put it away quickly and easily. I also picked up some anti-static storage boxes for my drives, and I have a nice workflow for a new YT creator with continually expanding needs.

I bought this as a way to access and copy photos that were archived on CD and DVD. It has worked perfectly, even with the newer technology of my M1 Mac mini w/ MacOS Ventura.
