I did a lot of research, before deciding on this wall mount for my 85" TV. It had to extend about 24" from the wall. Virtually every wall mount was rated at 125lbs. The beast is rated at 275lbs. Because of the extension, I didn't want to chance having any issues. My wife and I are over the moon, in terms of satisfaction, with this product. Even the installer with more than 20 years of experience said that everyone with a television as large as ours should Invest the money in a wall mount like the one I purchased.
