Are All Watch Batteries The Same Voltage

The exact, but obscure, batteries needed for the Nikon FTN light meter. Same voltage as original batteries. I compared light meter reading on the camera with a stand-alone light meter, and they were the same.

2/3 of a stop is a good value for my needs. the full stop was too much and 1/3 not enough at all.

Worked perfectly in my MacPro 5.1   I had to remove some other ram I had in my machine as it was not compatible. (watch out for the voltage of the Ram and if it registered)

In a rechargeable battery the important things are 1. Ability to hold charge 2. Provide the expected voltage at terminals when charged 3. Capacity to hold enough charge (mAhour capacity) 4. Ability to be charged repeatedly When I got the batteries they were not charged but this was stated so I charged the batteries. All 16 charged up and provided expected voltage (actually a little bit higher, about 1.44 Volts). I don’t have a battery tester so I am unable to say if they charged up to expected mAhour capacity. However, since they seem to be performing OK , I will assume they charged appropriately. I am unable to say anything about how many times they can be charged since that is a long term test. So far they have performed. Five stars. Ajeet S.

Whereas the voltage output of alkaline batteries has been shown to decrease over use and time, silver oxide batteries have a much more constant voltage output over the life of the battery. For this reason I prefer to use silver oxide batteries whenever possible. I chose the Exell S28PX battery to use in my Pentax digital spotmeter, which I've used periodically from time to time over the past two years, including in cold winter weather, and I've been very satisfied with its performance.

My old cameras seem happier with silver oxide than with alkaline batteries. The silver oxide ones keep their voltage stable longer, and they have less of a tendency to leak than alkaline batteries. They are harder to find these days, so I'm glad that B&H still stocks them.

In lieu of testing open circuit voltage, this battery tester tests the condition of batteries under load.

The charger and batteries work well, I made a mistake of buying some other rechargeable batteries with the wrong voltage for my 35mm Nikon which sadly didn’t work. These came, I charged them, put them in the camera and they made my old camera work great!
