Are Beats Headphones Good For Drumming

I got these headphones for three main purposes: 1) Listening to music without disturbing housemates 2) Monitoring mixes and click tracks while recording at home 3) Monitoring and checking sounds on location both for music recordings, shows, and for video. I have not tested them very much for the third case yet (will soon!), but of the first two I'd say these excel at #2 and are good for #1. 1: They sound really nice, but I have a hard time wearing them for extended periods of time (more than 2-3 hours) just for music and I'd prefer speakers. 2: They have awesome isolation! I can crank up click tracks and they haven't come through yet. Very good for drumming, because they block out a ton of the drum noise so the volume doesn't have to be uncomfortable for the drummer. Much better for drumming than any other headphones I've tried. 5 |
