The great thing about this particular model is the abilities to add Bluetooth adapters for the one friend who doesn't have streaming services or Bluetooth from their phone

There aren't many Stereo Cassette Decks to choose from anymore - and this one is (in my opinion) the best one currently out there...it looks and sounds just as good as the old time ones that you can only buy on used auction sites and from "refurbisers"- but that's a BIG gamble - they usually don't work - and this one certainly does. This is actually very similar to (almost exactly like) Tascams' (long discontinued) 202 Mark III - only with a USB port in the back It's a dual well deck - which I normally don't like - but this one has some good features - such as parallel recording (2 tapes at one time from one source) and tape to tape dubbing - both pretty handy for people who produce their own cassette tapes of music, voice, and/or other sounds. As someone who enjoys analog music and also the 1/8" cassette tape format I am really glad to see this deck return - I hope Tascam will re-release some of their single well "super pro" models some day.

I have around 100 cassette tapes made in the mid-80's to early 90's of our band playing live shows made with a Fostex 4-track recorder (I bought it the year they came out). I'm retired and wanted to digitize these old tapes and 're-master' them with my studio software. I was very price conscious when reviewing players and this unit had good reviews and the price was well within my budget. The results have been very good. Soundcloud has the first samples under LibertyDriveFan if you want to check them out. Highly recommend this unit for an high-performing entry level unit.

This is the unit I was looking for in a while, In still keep in good conditions many cassette's that I recorded many years ago. My old Pioneer player could not get repaired and many listed as used and in good condition in many websites were of no satisfaction. I decided to look for one that could transfer from one format to another. The sound is excellent and the unit looks amazing, If I were a Tascam Co. exec, I would design a unit that can have auto reverse / play on both sides. Just for the ones like me that value formats that are past of audio history. Thanks B & H for shipping this unit fast .

Plays and records just like the 'old school' cassette tape decks. I recently recorded some LP's to tape and the sound is better than most portables or mini-systems can produce (signal-to-noise ratio is very good). Seems well built except for the control buttons. They feel a little flimsy but I can overlook this considering how good the sound is.
