Are Curved Monitors Good For Photo Editing
anyonymous | 2024-07-28 08:48:45 |
This was one of my first curved monitors and still is one of my favorites. It's really good for a PC or a PS5 because the PS5 has a 120hz mode in some games, mainly FPS games. The colors are good, and the game plus is awesome! Game plus lets you do anything from keep an eye on your frames per second to putting a crosshair on your screen. I haven't noticed anything negative with it being curved, or any eye strain. It doesn't seem to have much glare, and you can view at multiple angles without problems. I mounted it to some hydraulic stands so, they are light enough for that and to move around. They are durable, for a monitor. I feel like the curved helps with bigger monitors. I haven't quite figured out the HDR but that's with any of my monitors. HDR seems to be more of a marketing thing. Unless you are planning on spending a ton of money on a monitor, don't worry about HDR. The one I bought was a 32 in, but it might be a little too big for what I'm using it for. I don't regret getting this monitor. I recommended ASUS curved monitors to some coworkers and they like them as well. You can't go wrong with this monitor. I have bought at lot of ASUS. Most of my PC is ASUS. I like their stuff. The TUF series cost to performance is tough to beat and the ROG stuff is really nice when you want it all! I'm not sure about customer service yet. I haven't had any issues with my monitors. They are currently in the process of repair a graphics card under warranty and so far, it hasn't been a bad experience. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After many product research for monitors for photo editing, I chose viewfinity and no regret at all Although this is 32 inches large monitor, still clear and gives vivid color enhancement. I will never go back to FHD, Samsung monitors will be my choice for future purchases. 5 |

I recently replaced two aging 19-inch monitors, which were getting difficult to match with the Samsung 34-inch monitor, which provides a lot of breathing room with much to spare. I do a lot of photo and graphics editing for print, and visual quality and resolution are especially important. Color balance is spot on out of the box, and though the monitor is factory set way too bright for photo editing, it was easy enough to back off the brightness and contrast to get it to the point where it matches photos on my 13x19-inch pro-printers. The 100 Hz refresh rate means no flickering (even noticeable at 75 Hz on the old monitors), and the finer resolution makes photo editing easy. 5 |

This is a great monitor for photo editing and a bargain compared to comparable monitors. The colors are great, it's a perfect size, and it's well designed. The joy stick to move around the monitor menus is particularly clever. I only have 2 minor complaints. First, the quick setup guide that comes with the monitor is absolutely worthless. Download the manual from the ASUS website before you unpack the box. Second, while the i1 Display Pro profiler is excellent it has only generic instructions on its use. With ASUS written all over the box I expected a detailed description on how to use it with this ASUS monitor. However, if you've ever used a similar device it's not hard to figure out. Overall I couldn't be happier with the purchase. 5 |

I don't work with video content or photo editing but I was tired of dealing with multiple monitor setups that weren't even close to being color matched. The SpyderX fixes it as best as it can, depending on your monitor's color capabilities. It's going to make cheap monitors look mediocre at best, and top-of-the-line monitors look excellent. Your end video/photo projects and your eyesight will thank you for your calibration. Most people don't realize how too bright their monitors really are. Each monitor's calibration took under 5 minutes on my Win10 desktop. Well worth it's price, even better when it's on sale. 5 |

I have two large monitors I use for video and photo editing. I use external drives for most data storage so I am really just operating off my laptop for a computer. The extra display ports and the USB 2.0 slots make it sooo much easier to work at home. I have plenty of places to plug in drives, card readers, drawing tablet, keyboard, mouse. I haven't had an issue. All the ports work and are recognized. I am on a 2024 macbook pro. 5 |

I now have 2 of these monitors as they have both the color capability and resolution for photo editing. This monitor is also very easy to re-orientate between portrait and landscape modes which makes it convenient for text both document reviews and spreadsheet work. 5 |

I purchased two of these and am so happy with them. Being able to get a handle on color is catapulting my photo editing results. I've already re-edited some of my old photos that were disappointments using my old monitors. They're no longer disappointments. At 2k and 144 Hz with 10 bit color, this monitor is perfect for photo editing. I had read a couple of reviews that said that the calibration wasn't perfect, but for me it is spot on. I edit mainly for print but also for display on the internet and one thing that I know is that if you calibrate for internet you will be off for print, and vice-versa. I haven't done anything with the calibration and I am getting great results for whatever output I chose. Have uploaded the first image that I edited on the ProArt monitors. I am going to be purchasing two more, for my wife's computer. 5 |
