Are Extended Warranties On Washing Machines Worth It

Extended warranties...I never leave home without them.

Everyone has their own opinion regarding extended warranties. Mine is this one is totally worth the cost just to have access to the Apple support techs. Given this is an Apple product, I expect not to have any problems with the computer hardware, (one never knows though); but as new MAC users my wife and I have LOTS of questions regarding the applications. The techs could not be more friendly, nor more helpful and we have called them a bunch of times. And, they are all located right here in the US! I am also very pleased with B & H. Extensive product selection, great prices, and wonderful service. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience!!

I typically do not buy extended warranties, but I have always purchased AppleCare whenever I have bought an Apple laptop and have always found that it is worth the money, at least for laptops. Apple support is generally very helpful. Recommended.

I normally don't buy extended warranties, but when I saw an iFixIt tear down of the newer (2012+) MacBook Pros, I decided it was worth the extra cost. Everything is now glued into place, so something like a harddrive going bad isn't an easy fix anymore. Even the battery and RAM are glued into place.B&H was having a special going on when I purchased my MacBook Pro from them on AppleCare so I thought it was worth the piece of mind. ....Hopefully I won't ever need to submit a claim!

I always get these extended warranties for Apple products especially for the phone support

I'm not much for buying extended warranties except for high price equipment that can be prohibitively expensive to repair once they're out of warranty. My Mac computers fall into that category but, just as important, after 90 days tech support by phone stops unless you have Applecare. Apple's phone tech support has been excellent and I wouldn't want to be without them when needed. I've also had my Macbook fixed....while I waited....at my local Apple store with the cost being covered by Applecare. That's when you realize how essential this repair insurance is.

I am not one to buy most extended warranties, but I consider this one a well-justified investment. No worries for the next 4 years. Yeah, I can live with that.

I rarely buy extended warranties but the Mac I bought this for has an SSD and I don't fully trust it yet, besides it's nice having the Apple phone support.

The Sony Factory Extended Warranties are an excellent addition to any new VTR or camera purchase. There are no difficult third party hoops to jump through or requirements to satisfy. You simply register the item and the warranty online, and submit a copy of the receipt and warranty with the unit when it's sent in for factory service instead of submitting payment information. All other aspects of the factory repairs remain the same, except that the end user doesn't pay for them! I would highly recommend this purchase to anyone buying new Sony products.

I am not the type of person to purchase extended warranties, but I decided to go with AppleCare for my new laptop. After many years of owning MicroSoft based machines, I decided to go with Apple. Since I'm not at all familiar with the Apple Operating system and because of the high price tag for Apple equipment, I purchased the AppleCare. B&H price was much lower than at other retailers. Apple doesn't care where you but the AppleCare, you can still register your product through the Apple website.
