Are Flat Screen Tvs Hazardous Waste

2024-09-28 03:42:27

I am the Hazardous Waste Tech. for the City of Spokane Solid Waste Management. One of my responsibilities is to identify hazardous things around us in the work place, and as I was sitting at my desk working on a project, I noticed my key board was disgusting so I reached for the Canned Air on my shelf to give it a blast and in the time it took to reach about two feet to retrieve it I thought, what is this stuff? I turned it around to look at what it contained and found, 1,1Difluorethane (HFC-152a) refrigerant with a bitterant added to help stop kids from huffing it. Wow! This should be really good to spray in a closed environment and usually very close to you! I started immediately looking for an alternative and found the Giottos medium and large Rocket Air Blasters. I purchased five of them to use in a pilot and everyone loved them so now, that is all we use. An added bonus was a savings (after first year) of $500.00, no recycling of pressure cans and their sustainable.

We have purchased several of these to mount 65 inch flat screen TVs. They are sturdy and support a small tilt, if required.

I purchased two of these for some hand-me-down flat screen TVs and love these! I can control the volumn and power with one smart TV which was a huge help because it did not have a remote.

We were looking for a larger screen TV and since we have other Vizio Tvs, it was the logical choice. It all came down to Screen size, inputs and price. The one we got met all of that criteria. Once we got it home and hooked up, one looks at the picture quality and we fell in love.it was just what we wanted.

I ordered two tv mounts to install two 24\ flat tvs in my RV. They work great and have a nice tilt. I am very pleased with the mounts!"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are HUGE fans of 120Hz displays. Sadly, the cost of legitimate TVs w/120Hz are too high for most, and unfortunately quite a few TVs will claim to "scale up"...but fall short. The QLED capability of our new 75 inch Q60D gives us AMAZINGLY similar experience to a 120Hz screen! While I'll admit it took me a bit to figure out out to optimze the settings to achieve this, the resuls are worth it. And the Filmmaker mode is truly remarkable. This may be considered the "entry level" for the Q-series, but I can't stress enough how much value there is in terms of features and sheer viewing pleasure. I had seen some reviews remarking that the viewing angles on this screen weren't as good as others, but we have had zero issues with that in our livingroom setup. Clear, bright and sharp. Now, let's talk about the Q-Symphony feature...fantastic sound that is remarkably easy to setup if you have a compatible soundbar. We went with the Q600C and optional rear speakers. Because of the way the TV integrates, we're getting movie theater sound that also has VERY clear dialogue in the midst of a thorough surround-sound experience. I found myself really surprised at how realistic the sound distribution was with what was showing on the TV. Now, to be fair, are the built-in speakers to the Q60D good? Not so much by themselves--you simply can't have a TV this thin and have any sort of low frequency response. So, I strongly encourage getting a Samsung soundbar w/sub-woofer as a minimum.

I haven't install it yet but I'm sure it will work on any flat screen tv

Update: After posting my original review, "Waste of Money," Gradus Group reached out to me concerning their "Screen Protector Ultra" for the Canon R7. After several email communications, which included a B&H receipt and photographs of the defect screen, Gradus Group replaced the screen under warranty. My rating of this screen goes from One Star to Five based not only on the screen but the company's response as well. As a side note, B&H also contacted me, offering to contact Gradus for me to make my purchase whole. Their involvement made no difference, but their offered help is why I spend my photography dollars with them. Thank you, B&H.

I totally love the camera after using for a month. Photos are amazing! So far my only displeasure would be the movement of buttons from where they have typically been on a Canon. For me, the RATE button is a total waste. I don't rate my photos in camera. I rate them in editing. Should have put the info button there. Such a waste of a button. I liked the magnify button so much more when you could keep magnifying. Now I can only magnify once then I have to change hand positioning and use my fingers on the touch screen to increase further for viewing of sharpness. How frustrating is that? I DO love the touch screen though. I know I will come across many more positives and negatives as I continue using the camera. HUGE learning curve which I may never really master. The negatives do no negate my love of the camera.
