Are Rechargeable Battery Cells Good

Coast’s lithium battery ZX450 all batteries that Coast supply are excellent. Reason I say this is because rechargeable lithium batteries sometimes have issues like premature failure. Things like not taking a charge, memory issues, and short run times to name a few. I do handle lion cells as recommended which is important for long life. Coast batteries and my lithium cellular batteries are the only batteries that work as promised regarding rechargeable lithium cells. I expect an a dramatic improvement with rechargeable lithium batteries of all sizes any time.

Im an Electronics Tech and all that really matters with rechargeable batteries is how much current they can provide per hour. 8 cells at 2500 mA per Hour for this price is better than an excellent deal. They work great and last.

18650-type lithium rechargeable batteries are very popular for high-powered LED flashlights. These batteries have a high energy content (up to 13 watt-hours) and are capable of high peak current discharge (up to 40 amps); they should not be stored loosely such that an accidental short-circuit could occur! This carrier is made of very tough, flexible rubber, about 2 mm thick. It securely holds the batteries and protects the battery contacts. Unlike a tray-type carrier, this carrier allows single cells to be removed or inserted without allowing the other cells to become loose. You can carry extra batteries in your toolkit or range bag without fear.

Lightweight and does a nice job gripping the 123 cells I have used with it (Surefire rechargeable LiFePo 123 cells and Fenix 123 cells with the built in USB charger.

Reviews of this battery vary a lot, however it seems to work well for me. I have two of them and found some good information on storing and using to help ensure the cells are not damaged. Used correctly, I anticipate long-term use and functionality. Sometimes I have 2 weeks or more between uses but have not had an issue with charging or using. I store them around half full and not on the flash. The storage area is around 65-70-degrees and dry. I do not leave them on the charger or charge while hot from use which also helps prevent damage to the cells. I can generally get one entire session at full power, 2 sessions if I use at lower powers. I would say 100-200 shots on average per charge, and I usually use at a high power due to the low available light in my studio.

Great light but getting the rechargeable battery will make you use it so much more often.
