Are There Surveillance Cameras On Cruise Ships
Mike | 2024-04-13 02:33:28 |
There are lots of free applications for IP Cameras, but if you're serious about IP Surveillance you can't do better than Axis Camera Station, and the best way to acquire the licenses is from B&H. 5 |

We recently took a cruise from New York to the carribean on one of the big cruise ships. We bought these radios the morning before the trip at B&H. They worked fine and are really handy for keeping track of people on the ship. We couldn't find a situation where the radios couldn't communicate and the cradle style battery charger made it easy to charge them at night. Bring a 3 way outlet because the state rooms have limited plugs. Oh and they are supposed to be waterproof we never submerged tham but it's nice to know that we could. 5 |

I bought this because unlike the original charger that came with the camera, it can be plugged into an outlet and lay flat on a table or counter top. I am leaving on a cruise in a couple of weeks in Europe and I have found that outlets on cruise ships and in hotels in Europe aren't always conducive to a having a charger which fits flush against the wall like the one that came with the camera. Rooms on cruise ships are small and outlets are generally limited. I have tried it at home and it has worked flawlessly and I'm confident that I won't have a problem 5 |

I live on the beach in Cape Canaveral and I watch the Cruise Ships, Rocket and Shuttle Launches as well as looking at the Stars on clear nights. These binoculars are a great buy and you won't be disappointed. They are big and heavy and at 20X you will need a tripod to REALLY enjoy the view. That's not a complaint it's a fact! So, if you are going to buy sometihing this big make sure you do yourself a favor and use a tripod. 5 |

We lecture on cruise ships -my subject is astronomy. For night sky sessions I wanted a smaller lightweight inexpensive pair with reasonable lightgrasp to check the sky. The price was a little less than a X Cel LX eyepiece! Lightweight, great resolution and contrast, good colour in the stars, good field width 6.8deg. Great value, compact and very useful. 5 |

B&H ships fast. There's no non-sense and no delays. This film is my favorite black and white film. It has a lightness to it but works very well both in-doors and outside. I'm attaching a few photos to prove my point. These were shot with a Canon AE-1. The one of Jeff playing drums was taken with a flash. The best of both worlds, XP2 + B&H! Thanks B&H! 5 |

The VOSKER camera is a great camera. I use it for surveillance around our house and it does the job perfectly. Thankfully it doesn’t pick up every little thing either which is great. Also there is a setting where you can change the sensitivity because I know sometimes the cameras can pick up every little thing. I have my camera set on video mode and the quality of the footage is great both day and night. Also what is awesome about these cameras is you can still use them as a trail camera and what’s great is you can put them high in the tree and have them look down on the trail or a field edge. I had never used a surveillance camera before until now and there’s no other camera I would use for surveillance than VOSKER. Thanks Dustin 5 |

We have purchased two of these so far to use primarily as NVRs for a large number of IP cameras on a school campus. Licensing costs aside, Synology Surveillance Station does a really nice job making it easy to set up and scale with the number of cameras you have. We linked two together, making one the primary and the other a secondary target for recordings. Surveillance Station records direct-to-disk, and does a decent job of adjusting camera settings directly using ONVIF. We have about 50+ cameras running at resolutions from 1280x720 up to 2560x1600, some PTZ, some ceiling-mount fisheyes, mostly wide angle fixed, and everything works pretty well. We were even able to use the manual camera configuration to use some uncommon double-lens cameras. With about 26 cameras assigned to each RS422+, we see about 20-25% CPU on each on average during a typical day. We can comfortably handle 32 per unit, and supposedly up to 40 if needed. With x4 6TB drives in each set in SHR-1 (equivalent to RAID5) we have about a month or so of footage retention. The licensing is a little pricey at $50 per camera (unless you buy in bulk from some european IP camera shops...), but it is perpetual and I think worth the expense. Using two of these units, 8 cheap drives from eBay (luckily these do not suffer from the Synology whitelist) and a bunch of camera licenses, for around under $5000 I was able to build and set up a really easy to use and reliable NVR system with plenty of future expandability. 2-3 users are regularly connected on their desktops without issue. 5 |
