This thing is awesome. Love the clear and retro sound and the ability to take one speaker to other rooms. So Retro with a style of new wave abilities. Thumbs up.

I was looking for a Bluetooth speaker with full sound at a reasonable price. This is it.

The speaker is spectacular in sound quality and is a gorgeous looking retro piece. The setup was a breeze. The price is right!

The retro look has let my wife allow me to place it in our family room (thank you mid century house). And i thought this would provide whole room sound. This thing puts our whole house sound!! WOW!! The bass is incredible, the highs are perfect, and the ATMOS makes sure everyone in earshot gets those quality tones. I love this speaker and it provided excellent background music during a recent holiday party. The controls are simple on the unit itself, but you can really get the best sound when you use the JBL One app to calibrate the speaker for its location, wherever you decide to put it. I highly recommend this speaker!!

Easy to use right out of the box, you simply plug it in, download the Jbl one app and link up. Playing music at about a 1/3 of the highest level more than fills my great room (that has 3 story ceilings). Attractive look - it provides that retro look you may be looking for. Only complaint would be that as far as I can tell, it needs to be plugged in. Would prefer a rechargeable battery so that it could be placed in a variety of areas. As always, Jbl sound quality is unrivaled!

Upon unboxing, I was impressed with the detail of the speaker; the pattern on the face of the speaker gave me vintage vibes with a modern flare. The volume, treble, and bass dials seemed retro but the light that’s emitted when turning them up or down made me feel like I was living in the future. The marriage between the old look with modern technology was done beautifully. Connecting the speaker to my mobile device was very easy—press the Bluetooth button, find it on your device, connect, and done. I also downloaded the JBL One app for easier management and connection. Once I was paired, I turned on some of my favorite music and cranked up the volume! Before I fiddled with the treble and bass settings, I was thoroughly impressed at how clear the sound was as I began to slowly turn up the volume. The bass could be felt and the clarity of the artists voice made it feel like I was at a concert. As I began to mess with the treble and bass to gauge the abilities, it became abundantly clear that in any setting, I was going to get quality sound. There are a couple of drawbacks that are minor but still I would’ve loved included. I wish this speaker had wireless capabilities. Having to be tethered to an outlet is ok but having the convenience of picking it up and move it to wherever I am would have been more ideal. Also, I wish there was an on/off switch. Something about turning something on or off just brings me comfort. Overall, this is a great product. Not only do you get exceptional sound but it can definitely spruce up your decor. It’s stylish and retro and would make an impressive piece on any shelf, dresser, or wherever else you want to put. Highly recommend!

The design of the speaker brings back that retro look, highlighted by the gold trim, volume, treble and bass knobs. The front also has the retro speaker look with that grille! The carry handle, wrapped in leather-like material, make it easy to carry and not worry about the edges of the handle digging in to your hand. The shape of the speaker allows it to fit perfectly on your shelf, counter, or table. It also looks amazing as stated before! The sound quality is top-notch, and more then what you would expect from a JBL speaker! The highs deliver crystal clear voices, while the mids and lows deliver amazing beats that you can really get down to. The bass that this speaker delivers has a "club vibe", if you are into that sort of music. Every genre of music sounds amazing coming out of this speaker, and it will blow you and your friends minds at how good it sounds!

It has black with subtle gold trim that frames the speaker & shape of the grille is pleasing visually. It truly makes the speaker one-of-a-kind. I temporarily placed this in my college age sons room at home. He appreciates the Dolby Atmos 3D spatial sound, it’s like his own mini concert of music. He uses bluetooth - AirPlay 2, and Spotify to stream with ease. Using the JBL One app on his phone to control the speaker (or if needed the controls on top of speaker). When I use it, I appreciate the automatic self tuning and being able to use Alexa that is built in. The sound quality is rich and balanced with so much clarity - you can feel the beat of bass and the quality remains with volume increased. The whole family loves this beautiful, quality sounding, retro feeling speaker!

With the JBL one app, I have full control of sound adjustments and music streaming via wifi. It also has bluetooth connectivity with no lag or drops. You can voice control, using Amazon Alexa and Google assistant with the app as an option. The sound from this speaker has very well balanced highs and lows, with a punchy base from the down firing radiator speaker. Overall, the JBL Authentics 200, just gave me the sound illusion of a quite larger speaker. The leatherlike feel of the speaker cabinet and front grill is a classy style look, that gives it a look, that I came to love immediately. On the top of the speaker, the volume, treble, and bass knobs light up with the level adjustment. The volume knob pauses and plays your music with a push. The JBL Authentics 200 speaker is compact but don't be fooled by it's size when you are playing music. It's a beast of sound for its size. JBL has impressed me with this speaker with its retro style, classy look, sound, and features in a very good-looking speaker. Additional auxiliary input is in the rear of the speaker with ethernet port and usb. I give the JBL Authentics 200 an A+ on sound quality and size. I am currently using it in my garage workspace.
