Asian Wind Instruments

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments.  The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections.  Versatile and great sound quality.

I like wind instruments. This is that and so much more. Nice features make playing sound like the real thing. Tried it all but haven't used it as a midi controller yet

I was a recording engineer for 15 years. Back then, everythign just worked. Now the corporate weinies sending everything to China, where THEY figure out how to make EVERYTHING like a piece of poo poo. Normal, i.e. ASIAN XLR's are pure poo poo!!! I have to repleace every stinking Asian XLR with these frow Swirtchcraft!!! Only B & H carries them. If you NEED to rely upon quality... watch out for those pennie pinching Asian copies... they truly suck!! The censor made me use babay words... you get the idea.

Use for printing images of East Asian paintings. Gives excellent results.

In the past, I have used a Casio keyboard and a Harmonium as an aid in understanding South Asian classical music. The Casio is not accurate and the Harmonium is bulky. Paired with GarageBand on my MacBook Pro, this keyboard remedies both issues. And the quality appears to be good. 37 keys are just right; 25 would have been more portable but less useful. I am glad I got the bluetooth version. I did have an issue in that the bluetooth required installing Bluetooth Midi Connect from Korg. This was incompatible with OS X Mavericks. I reluctantly risked updating to Sierra. Thankfully it all went well.

Standard Canon battery for EOS-RP. Most of the writing on the package was in characters of an Asian language, but the battery appears legit.

Just a little too tall (height of the bag) for a short Asian girl, and it doesn’t stand when the front of the bag is not very much filled. A little heavier than usual backpacks, but I think that comes with the fact that it has a lot of slots, which is super awesome! Other than that, I love it. It’s so slim so it’s much easier for me when commuting. And I love how optimized the space are. Makes organizing and carrying a lot of stuff so easy. I love it!

Unsurpassed sharpness, fine grain, and vivid colors. It works well with Asian and black but not with Caucasion skin tones (Provia is a better choice of these). My only complaint is upward creep of the price.

I have four of these genuine BLN-1s now -- one that came with the OM-1, two I bought from B&H and one I ordered through another supplier. The latter one showed up partially charged and has just Asian typography in the bottom recycling back panel. The other three batteries are all labeled in English. The other defining characteristics of the Asian-labeled BLN-1 are the relatively hollow sound a finger makes when tapping the wide gray side of the battery ... and the weight. The Asian-labeled battery is about a half-ounce lighter than the others. This might be why the charge doesn't last as long on that one. So buyer beware, but I've never gotten a bad battery from B&H.
