Astro 4K Portable Monitor

I own 3 of these for a portable triple monitor setup. I'm tired of seeing only 1080p or 4K 15.6 inch monitors. 1080p isn't often enough. 4K is a little overkill and you might as well change the resolution on your desktop to 2.5K. Well, this is a native 2.5K display. Oh and it's 16:10 aspect ratio so it's actually 2560x1600. The extra height is glorious for working in Davinci Resolve, Blender, and any other program. It also has full size HDMI which is very rare for quality portable monitors. Don't buy the garbage you see floating around on Amazon when it comes to portable monitors. Buy the ASUS. ViewSonic also has some quality options. I like ViewSonic's 1080p OLED, the physical design is better but it's micro HDMI and well ... it could have been 2.5K. Overall ... as of 2024 this is literally the best portable IPS OLED monitor that's affordable you can buy. I used my xRite color calibration tool to calibrate each monitor to 400 nits and Rec709. You can confidently color grade on these. They have minimal back light bleed. ASUS has been releasing 2.5K 15.6 inch 16:10 (same resolution) OLED panels in some of their latest laptops, so we might see a new Zenscreen like this in 2025 as an OLED panel. However, you can't go wrong with a tried and true IPS panel. These are great. Go for it!

I love this product so much it offers what I need at a seconds notice. I use this every day for my productions and it provides me with the best 4K monitor that is portable.

I have friends with $4k up to $7k invested in astro gear to photograph Deep Space Objects ... The S50 may not be a good as theirs, but really not that far off. An amazing little device that you can get up and running in minutes. Lots of advanced features if you want to go down the rabbit hole of astrophotography, but the basic usage will allow you many nights of easy viewing and sharing of amazing features in the night sky . Photographically, perhaps the best $500 I have ever spent.

Perfect for 4k monitor, 60hz!

Great portable tracking mounts. If you’re looking for a nice portable mound this is it ,if you are new to Astro Photography this is a good way to get started. It is very easy to use, the tracking is very accurate. I am able to get two minute exposures using my 70 to 200 Canon lens. Overall I’m very happy with it.
