Astro A10 Bluetooth Adapter

I thought my old Sony M10 was small until my A10 arrived. This thing is tiny, but the Bluetooth connections for phone control during recording and wireless playback afterwards are really worthwhile. The purchase was definitely worth the cost!

I got the Clic Softbox for the A10 instead of the OCF adapter with free OCF softbox recently promoted by Profoto because I wanted a simpler set up with less pieces. I realize the OCF adapter is a simple and easy to use set up, but with that I'd have to carry at least two items (the adapter and separate modifier) plus a light stand. What I like about the Clic Softbox is that it's all in one and pops open like an umbrella. It folds away quickly. I can hold it in one hand if I want to. I realize I am limited to the softbox as a modifier for the A10 but I am fine with that. For the kind of shooting I do, it is more than enough. If I want something different I can mount any of my umbrellas to the A10. I also like that the Clic Softbox is designed specifically for the A10. I could be wrong but I have my doubts that the A10 would have enough power to work well with the larger OCF modifiers. I will save my OCF modifiers for my B10. In short I love my A10 and I love the Clic Softbox and I feel it was the right choice vs the OCF adapter. Having the portability has made it easier than ever to shoot in locations away from home whereas before I would never have dragged my lighting gear anywhere. The A10 and the Clic softbox make a perfect combination. Not to mention the light quality from the combination is stunning. I hope Profoto comes out with more magnet mounted modifiers just for the A10.

Tried on the Profoto OCF mount for A10 - could not be better!

I'm using it with a D750 for some astro / Eclipse photography. The only issue I have is the adapter for my camera tends to want to say with the camera when I pull the viewfinder off. I fixed this with a drop of crazy glue.

You may want to consider a Bluetooth adapter for your headphones rather than this. They are harder to loose and more convenient.

For those of you into Astro photography, this is a MUST HAVE!

Very useful adapter for laptop w/o Bluetooth. Easy to install, and works great.

Can’t beat the price thinking of buying more works well on my A10

Having a bluetooth adapter on my PC has made things so much easier. Amazing price. Works wonderful.

Purchased a Bluetooth adapter just to see what all the fuss was about ..Sent a few files to my computer.. Could have done this through Email :-) Only con i found is when I paired this with my Bluetooth headphones, my wifi connection would become choppy..
