Asus 300 Dd Wrt Router No Internet

Read your favorite flavor of open source firmware before buying but I'm running native firmware and a second DD-WRT build as well while I'm testing VPN configurations. I've made tons of mistakes along the way but the ability of this device to safeguard a good firmware configuration on the second partition gives you a good chance to recover when learning and experiencing any issues. Nothing is fail proof but I'm pretty clumsy and it's been great to work with. I run another access point wirelessly to it and the dedicated back channel has been just as close as wireless can be to gigabit copper line. Haven't adjusted a full DD-WRT build to fully utilize all the features available to it yet but the native Linksys firmware has been great as a standard fallback configuration. I'm sure it will continue to remain a robust device for our home office/learning needs. 5 |

I got this dream machine to replace a DD-WRT router once I realized that DD-WRT doesn't allow for gigabit WAN speeds. I also wanted better WiFi coverage upstairs. I bought a second nanoHD access point (not received yet) to install on the ceiling upstairs. It should seamlessly add to my UniFi setup and give me 5GHz speeds throughout the house. Whenever WiFi 6 becomes more widely available and I start getting client devices that support it, I expect Ubiquiti to sell WiFi 6 access points that I can then use with this dream machine. Be warned, though: the UniFi software is still buggy, with many features labeled beta. I had trouble with the beta feature High Performance Devices, as my Sunpower monitor in the garage could not establish a link because it was forced to use 5GHz by the dream machine. Once I turned that feature off, it connected with 2.4Ghz and has worked perfectly since. 5 |

Well, look no further! Ive been using this beast for about three weeks and it has yet to disappoint. Plugged in, turned on, flashed to DD-WRT, and have enjoyed it ever since. If you like to tinker and prefer a thicc router, this is a solid choice. 5 |

I moved to an area that has 1gb internet speeds and while happy with my 5 year old Asus router, I decided to get this new one. Set was easy via the app. Router is performing great in my small house. Another satisfying Asus product. 5 |

My ISP plan provides 300 MPBS download speed. With my old router, I would be lucky to get 15 MBPS. Since I purchased the ASUS EBR63 router, I can pull speeds into the 200s, which is very good for my Internet usage needs. Product setup couldn't be easier once I downloaded the app. I have since purchased an ASUS range extender to cover the second floor of my home. I Recommend ASUS products over the competition. 5 |

Using with Time Warner Cable Internet which is capable of up to 300 MB/s. Not much to set up. Just make sure your internet provider knows about it. Be aware it is a pure modem and does not contain an internal router or wireless access point. If you are planning on using it for a local network you will need a separate router. 5 |

Love this router. Its really fast. Much faster then my old wrt 1900acs. I use it in a small apartment so its overkill on the wifi. However, that Arm 1.8GHz cpu tears throughout the complex math required to run a VPN service, so didn't care about the wifi as much. But that also is blazing fast. If you want total control of what this router can offer, I recommend dd-wrt firmware. All in all it was worth the money in my opinion. Especially for running a VPN. 5 |
