Asus Computer Monitor Audio Output

Bought this display to accompany my ASUS laptop computer. Like the multiple connections and ease of operation so far. I eventually used the DVI port as this has solved a monitor dropout problem I was having when I engaged the usb audio out from laptop to a DAC. I also connected the laptop's audio output jack to the ProArt display so it too could have sound output if I choose. Now considering upgrading to an ASUS tower computer.

I had been using a USB audio interface to feed my M-Audio monitor speakers from my Mac. I rarely used the jnput functionality (XLR inputs for mics, etc.). It then stopped working - would not stay connected. After trying everything I could think of (cables, usb ports on my computer, ...) I figured I needed a new device and looked for an output only device. I found this one. It's rock solid and delivers great sound. It does this one thing and does it well. Plus, I like that it draws power from the USB cable, so no extra power cable is required. I've not tried it with headphones, but for some, it may be a problem that there's no separate volume control for the headphone output.

Used these to monitor output of an old cassette tape to my computer. Worked great.

I have been using this monitor for almost a year now and haven't had a single issue. For context I have gone through 6 monitors and non of them were Asus. Every monitor I bought before cheep or expensive had issues that made them unusable. I was hesitant at first to buy the VG27AQ because of some bad reviews but after only buying monitors with better reviews and recommendations I decide to try it out and it was perfect. I use my computer for a lot of different things including video/photo editing, gaming, cad, YouTube and this monitor can do it all. Having 1440p was perfect for 27 inches and 165hz instead of 240hz was perfect since my computer couldn't maintain 240hz at 1440p on pervious monitors. I don't know why I was so skeptical of Asus when choosing my monitor, given that the first computer I built comprised of all Asus parts excluding the ssd and chassis. I feel like they get bad credit especially in reviews but I think it's just because they have so many products and the demand is so high. The best thing about this monitor is that it put my full confidence in Asus and I am planning on buying an Asus laptop with the same screen spec to pair up with my AMAZING monitor! If anyone was wondering what laptop I am referring to it's the new ROG Zephyrus G15 Ultra Slim rtx3080 and specifically moonlight white because OMG it looks so good!

Purchased for church live stream work in March (sending it switcher output with audio embedded from the switcher to combine at this device). It does get hot, and so to help keep hours down on the unit, I wait to connect it to the laptop until about 30 minutes before we go live each week. (For safest results to ensure the capture device is well-recognized by the computer, I shutdown the laptop if it was already on, then attach the capture device, and boot up again). How I use it: Church live streaming ... three cameras and a PC go into a Roland V1 HD video switcher (audio goes through a mixer and then is input to the closest camera -- which carries the mixed audio to the switcher via the camera's HDMI) ... switcher output is split to feed the live stream and in-room monitors...one split output goes to a field monitor with built-in waveform/vectorscope ... then loops through the monitor (HDMI out from the monitor) to the Magewell capture device...Magewell connected to laptop...Magewell is seen by OBS software (but not with Magewell name, just hunt for 'capture device'), which then sends to YouTube. ASUS BE24EQK Business Monitor fully satisfies my needs, providing excellent video and audio. The camera is adjustable and has the ability to be covered with the slide of a switch. The clarity is above expectations. The monitor is affordable and highly recommended.

Needed a way to boost audio output from a mixing board going to a computer which we use to stream church services with. The 24c worked perfectly.
