Asus Desktop Computers 1Tb Sata

This board is killer. I prefer it to the Z790 , a virtually identical board to the 690 but with a more IO options. Paired with the components listed below, I can do anything from Video editing to gaming , streaming and IT Administration. I have heard that Asus can be difficult when it comes to RMA and that they are working on improving thier work flows in that area and well, I have not had to test the validity of those claims since I have never had an Asus product fail on me in more than a 2 decades of Asus being my products of choice. Runs cool with SATA 1TB 860 SATA; have not tried with NVMe. Included cable is appropriate length.

Works with Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SATA HDD P/N 2GH172-021. The HDD was a 2nd drive in a laptop that died. The USB 3 SATA III drive adapter cable gave me the means to retrieve my data from the dead laptop.

I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it!

It fits the Samsung 1TB 860 EVO SATA III 2.5 Internal SSD drive perfectly and work great as an external drive for photo editing on a Mac.

I changed my laptops original sata mechanical 1TB hard drive with this The difference in speed is amazing. Well worth it!
