I bought this DVD Drive to go along with an ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501VW DS71T laptop which doesn't include an internal DVD drive. This DVD drive is barely the size of a DVD disk. It matches nicely with the laptop. It comes with a software disk and a USB splitter cable (you will need two USB ports available on your computer to use this drive). It is well constructed and functions beautifully. The included software is optional. This drive is plug and play, however, my laptop didn't come with Windows DVD Player software. No Problem... I downloaded a highly downloaded free DVD software suite and it works perfectly. It does what I bought it to do. It is not a blue-ray player though. If that is important to you, you'll need to pick another drive. 5 |

I'm a software engineer with a degree in telecommunications systems (networking). I would absolutely recommend the ASUS Zen Wi-Fi ET8 to friends and family. I own 4 of them. From a software perspective these appear to be very well tested and stable both in function and in security. From a usability perspective they are about as simple as you can get for setup. For the advanced user they give an impressive latitude in configurability. 5 |
