This is one of the best made and best functioning motherboard I have ever owned...........and I have owned a lot of them. This is an upgrade from my former ASUS board, a B450-F Gaming which is still going strong by the way. I only upgrade to the B55o-A because I wanted PCIe 4.0 capability. I already had the VLC media player ap installed on my windows 10 laptop, so when I plugged this into my USB port straight from the box, it was recognized and functioned immediately. If your computer doesn't have a driver, Transcend provides one free, but you must download one in order to use external drives--perhaps that's why some users claim their player wouldn't work? 5 |
