Asus Laptop Internet Speed Test Software

I am learning to enjoy my ASUS 15.6 Vivobook. It is a replacement for my nearly 14 year old laptop that has seen better days. I am on a limited budget, but I didn't want mediocre specs that would be outdated in 6 months. I do mainly internet browsing, some productivity work (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.), some low intensity gaming, and on occasion some video editing for my socials. Bottom line - You should probably get one while qtys and pricing are good. Pros - It has the specs I wanted (i9 CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) at a great price. More than enough computing power for gaming, casual internet browsing, and the occasional homework/essay. It included FREE 2-Day Shipping - I am on the West Coast. Screen colors are vibrant, keyboard is keyboard-y with backlit keys. The laptop itself is not the lightest out there, but is hardly the boat anchor ROG ASUS I still own that is on its last legs. It's offered thru a reputable dealer. Cons (ish) - Only 1920x1080 resolution and no touchscreen. I haven't really encountered any other negatives so far. It's been a while since I purchased MY own laptop. To be transparent, I have helped recommend and even purchased several laptops over the years for my family and friends. My previous-current laptop is a still-running ASUS G51J (i7 CPU 1st Gen, 6GB RAM, 500GB 2.5 HDD) - battery doesn't charge, but still works plugged in. I purchased it from B&H also circa 2010. Being a frugal tinkerer myself, but wanting the best value for my budget, I researched and compared several buying sources including big box stores, national (U.S.) retail chains and even Amazon, but I still chose B&H. Even though I am on the West Coast, I still found value in the products they offer as well as the service and buying experience. Did I mention FREE 2-Day shipping from the East Coast (NY). I bought this DVD Drive to go along with an ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501VW DS71T laptop which doesn't include an internal DVD drive. This DVD drive is barely the size of a DVD disk. It matches nicely with the laptop. It comes with a software disk and a USB splitter cable (you will need two USB ports available on your computer to use this drive). It is well constructed and functions beautifully. The included software is optional. This drive is plug and play, however, my laptop didn't come with Windows DVD Player software. No Problem... I downloaded a highly downloaded free DVD software suite and it works perfectly. It does what I bought it to do. It is not a blue-ray player though. If that is important to you, you'll need to pick another drive.

I have Xfinity and one day I decide to do a speed test, I’m paying for gigabit internet and was barely getting 70 mbps with their provided router. I decided to upgrade and this thing WORKS it was an easy install, a lot smaller than the previous one and handles my internet speed easily no bottlenecks or anything. I have previously bought net gear and ended up coming back I know where my business will always be!

The Netgear CM1000 was a breeze to setup and once registered, I ran an internet speed test to find out that I was now getting the maximum speed for my service. Highly recommend it.

This modem allows me to use my gigabyte Internet to its full capacity with no problem. Speed test shows 965 MB per second Internet speed download.

I needed to connect my RJ45 FiOS internet cable directly to my laptop in order to get top speed from the FiOS service. My laptop did NOT have a RJ45 port so this adapter, converting RJ45 to USB, solved the problem. Definitely Plug 'n Play installation.

having used an Arris model previously which, despite the great increase to my Internet speed allowed by the Comcast, the overall speed at my laptop remained minimal. so when i installed my new Nighthawk AC1900, like wow, did i ever see the Net speed increase over 100%!!! the functioning of the unit has been smooth, steady, and most impressive. i am pleased to have made this purchase!

I have had zero issues with this modem and the internet speed has been great!
