ok so I've had this CPU for a couple months now, running on a ASUS prime x570 pro.. I updated my bios installed CPU and boom it worked with out doing anything else .. this CPU runs excellent at stock settings.. I was able to overclock to 4.7 on air with about 1.4v also running a set of g-skill 3600 cl15 ram sticks @ 3800 cl 16 @1.45v and fclock at 1900... My fps jumped up about 30 fps from previous CPU in pubg used to get alot of stutter before now its running smooth vid card is radeon vii which needs an upgrade not really a great card for gaming.. 5 |

I installed the 8700K processor on an Asus Prime Z370-A motherboard. Out of the box it scored around 1400 on cinebench with peak temperature of 60 degrees Celsius (noctua nh-d15 cpu cooler). Overclocking to 5ghz scored a 1621 on cinebench with peak temp at 80 degrees Celsius. 5 |

I just matched this with an ASUS Prime Z-370 A. This is a great processor. I though about getting an i9, but this is a lot less costly and I can't imagine how anything could be faster. I never overclock. I'm using the CPU's graphics. I'm not a gamer. 5 |

I flashed my ASUS PRIME B550M-A (WI-FI) BIOS prior to replacing the existing water-cooled 3700X. The CPU is 2.0x-3.5x as fast as my old PC with a 3.8GHz OC Intel Xeon W3690.
