Asus Rog Amd Motherboard

Working great on an Asus ROG motherboard. almost 50% fast than my older WD M2 SSD.

I built my last computer in like NOV-DEC of 2013. The motherboard was a ASUS ROG Maximus VI Hero (Intel-compatible). It has worked flawlessly all these years, and I couldn't ask for more. It still works. I decided it's time to upgrade because I wanted an ultrawide monitor. The last thing I wanted to do was have to tear all the components out and RMA a board, costing me HOURS of my life, all for saving $100 of a cheaper MB on the front end. So I opted for the once again flagship product from Asus and my expectations are high!

I cannot find anything wrong or lacking this motherboard! My first gaming PC and this is the backbone for the Asus ROG 4090 and I cannot be happier!

Previously I used ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E, I upgraded to Z790-E, this motherboard I love that it has 12 USB ports, it is enough for my use, I love it.

I have always loved ASUS products. I especially like the ROG line of products. However, the one thing I have always disliked about ASUS products is their bloat software. With this motherboard, it wasn't so bad. Everything was optional out of the box. I did install Armory Crate to get updated drivers and such, but all of the additional software was optional. Not that the software isn't useful, it just isn't useful to me. I also like that I can use my Corsair iCUE software to control the RGB lighting on the motherboard. I would recommend that you get a full size ATX case for this board. Depending on what you are adding to the case and the type of cooling that you need, a case gets small fast, especially if you have a radiator in your rig.

This is my 4th Asus motherboard and my second ROG motherboard as an upgrade from the Z490. The Z490 performed flawlessly for the last 5 years but I wanted to upgrade to latest technology. The Z790 so far performs well and has offered no issues. I’m pleased with the performance and stability and have had no issues. The upgraded heat sink for the x5 m2 slot is also a plus. I highly recommend Asus ROG motherboards based on their consistent reliability, quality and performance.

This is the second Asus ROG motherboard I've purchased in the last decade. Man oh man, this is a lot of computing power in a mini ITX form factor. Very easy to install and setup. Asus gets extra points for their website approved CPU & RAM manufacturers listing. It really takes the guesswork out of outfitting a killer system. They also make it easy to upgrade the firmware and BIOS as they make little bug fixes to their systems. All in all a class act from a world class manufacturer in the computer industry.
