Comcast X-Finity recently suggested that we upgrade our modem. We decided to also upgrade our router, and chose the ASUS RT-AX82U. We have been very pleased since making the changes. We have a smart television outside in a covered porch area. We needed a separate extender on our old router to get service, and it was still spotty. We have had no problems getting a satisfactory connection using this new router without an extender. 5 |

Our house was not wired with Ethernet cables and I could not get a wifi signal (I purchased a much needed upgraded router and tried a top of the line extender without any luck) into our garage for a sprinkler control panel. I finally came across reviews for the Netgear Powerline 2000+ and figured I would try them out. I plugged the adapter into our power outlet next to the router and plugged the other one on the other side of the house. I pay for 100 mb and average about 98.3 to 98.5 next to the router. Testing the Netgear Powerline 2000+ I get around 97 to 97.3 from it. Since the speed was so good, I put the adapter in a bedroom next to our garage and turned my old router into an AP and now have 70% signal strength in the garage and backyard. Great product for the price, as I saved $60 over the "high end" extender 5 |

The extender paired easily and quickly with my ISP router. NETGEAR support was helpful with questions that I had to get my coverage all set up. 5 |

I've studied router technology for years and I've used Netgear products exclusively. Until purchasing the RT-BE96U, based on glowing reviews by Dong Knows Tech, I've been using a Netgear Wi-Fi 4 router. Beginning with Wi-Fi 6, I increased the time I spent researching Wi-Fi routers and decided to wait until I could purchase a Wi-Fi 7 router. After waiting until the standard was ratified, I was ready to purchase a new device. I increased my Spectrum Cable download speed to a 1GB plan, installed the Asus RT-BE96U, and ran speed tests over ethernet. The performance improvement has drastically increased. I enjoy learning about the settings on the Asus router using the web interface and the mobile app is very nice to use. Now that its been installed, I'm looking forward to tweaking the router and getting the most from it. I appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Asus staff in creating their products and I'm very pleased with the start of my journey with Asus. 5 |

ASUS RT-AX86U Pro replaced old original release NETGEAR Nighthawk r7000 workhorse that was failing. Works great, probably even better, so let's upgrade separated garage connection (NETGEAR EX6100) with ASUS RT-AX1800S using AI Mesh! Does advanced tech 5Ghz or Ethernet back haul (not older, slower 2.4Ghz distance) so put router between extender and base router and very happy Mesh network from parts! Used App to OCD tune signal dBm strength (note: app sometimes shows "offline" things that are WORKING but barely). 2.5Gb port keeps gaming pc from complaining about not being optimized (internet .5 GB :). Handling multiple phones, TVs, Quests, PCs, printers, NETGEAR unmanaged switches, etc. 5 |

I had originally purchased a netgear router but returned it because I could not use it with a vpn. The Asus router functions with a vpn which is a huge plus and works like a charm. 5 |
