I had an Asus PCIE adapter (wifi 5) previously. My wifi router was moved to the basement because of a router upgrade and cable wiring issues. I needed a secure router with wifi 6 and WPA3 that could get a decent connection on the 2rd floor up from the basement. This adapter has given me an 80% signal at 865 to 900Mbps download and slightly less for uploads. Installation was easy and I am very pleased so far with it. 5 |

The Asus PCIe Wi-Fi adapter is an excellent product but I had difficulty getting it to work. After much time spent in trying to get it to work I contacted technical support and found out what was wrong. Window 10 users be aware that the WIFI card will not work if you have the ethernet cord attached to the PC. It is an either or situation where you cannot have both hooked up. This was frustrating as several technicians did not realize this quirk (needed WIFI to hook up to Fitbit website). 5 |

I wasn't sure if the card was compatible with PCIe 2.0, so I checked with Asus Presales - they were quite helpful, and assured me that it would work fine (and it does). Installation was simple, and Windows 10 found the right driver without needing the CD. It works perfectly with my Netgear 10GBASE-T switch (XS708Ev2), using a cat-6 cable run of about 75 feet. My switch doesn't support the 2.5 or 5 Ghz modes, so I can't speak to those. 5 |
