Asus Z690 Maximus Extreme

Best headset I've ever owned! I went with the Asus Z690 Maximus Hero motherboard and couldn't pass up the new Asus Rog Animate keyboard and Asus Rog Animate headset.

Works perfectly in my Asus z690 p 1700 12700k system

I built my last computer in like NOV-DEC of 2013. The motherboard was a ASUS ROG Maximus VI Hero (Intel-compatible). It has worked flawlessly all these years, and I couldn't ask for more. It still works. I decided it's time to upgrade because I wanted an ultrawide monitor. The last thing I wanted to do was have to tear all the components out and RMA a board, costing me HOURS of my life, all for saving $100 of a cheaper MB on the front end. So I opted for the once again flagship product from Asus and my expectations are high!

I finally upgraded my system after nearly 7 years. Glad I chose the ASUS ROG STRIX z690-F. I love how many m.2 NVMe slots it has, the control in the colors was easy and syncs with my cpu cool and fans. Not generally a big RGB person, but the controls were really nice. No issues with the motherboard and I would highly recommend it.

I am using this ram because I am a long time fan of Crucial ram for years and years. This ram is not OC'ed and is running stable. XMP is enabled in BIOS. I did not like the RGB bling so was grateful Crucial keeps it old school for some of us who dont need all that. Also. with the CPU cooler being as fat as it is, the low profile of this ram is a much needed thing.

Previously I used ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E, I upgraded to Z790-E, this motherboard I love that it has 12 USB ports, it is enough for my use, I love it.

Works great with Noctua NH-U9S cooler in ASUS TUF Z690 plus wifi motherboard. I use it for gaming, etc.

Upgraded from a ASUS Strix Z690-F with a 9700k. Went with the ASUS Strix Z690-F and 13700k. The ASUS Strix Z690 has 4 NVME drive bays with heatsinks. Super beefy VRM and other component heatsinks across the board. RGB and fan headers are well placed and the motherboard includes a AIO header. Cool velcro logo'ed strap for cable management. I didn't sue it but it looks cool. Great quality build. If you want a top tier motherboard without going "Elite", go Strix.

First custom build with an ASUS Z690 Creator WIFI MOBO and Noctuna NH-D15 CPU cooler. Lots of power from the CPU with no issues with heat.

I have been waiting for the new Asus 4080 laptops for a while now. I keep checking where they have in stock daily and finally on 03/08 I hit the jackpot and ordered right away on B&H when it became available. Next thing I knew I am one of the few who are able to get my hands on the brand new Asus Strix Scar 16 2023. This little bad boy is a beast, the RGB is amazing as usual; better than razor blade ofc. The new cooling design is phenomenal, the cooling is significantly improved. As usual when I get my hands on the new laptop I take it apart and replace the stock liquid paste to carbon paste for extreme cooling performance. I ran Mextro Exodus on Extreme at 75 Degrees F on CPU AND 65 Degrees F on GPU. I ran COD on high with CPU 80 Degrees F and GPU 65 Degrees F. Amazing performance with the new RTX 4080 card combining the 32GB DDR5 with the new Intel i9 chip. This bad boy runs every game I have on hand on extreme or ultra setting with ease. The refresh rate on the laptop screen itself is amazing at 240hz but I still use my 30inch curved 2k 200hz monitor. Let's all be honest, you will never need to run a game at 140 FPS. I can get a stable 160 FPS with extreme or ultra settings with DLSS on. This is the upgrade I have been waiting for since my Asus 2080ti laptop, not some 3080 with no improvement.
