At2020 Microphone Stand

Good microphone set for recording guitar and voice. The AT2020 is a little on the heavy side so, if you use a boom microphone stand, be sure it's a good quality stand that can support it.

I bought my AT2020 to replace a desktop Logitech usb microphone. No matter how much I tried previously I just could not get rid of the hollow sound on all recordings I made to show clients how to use online applications we have built for them. Without changing anything else other than the mic I am now getting incredibly good audio, which my clients have also comment upon. If I had to be picky to find any kind of fault I would suggest the mic stand would be a little more adjustable in order to raise its height on the desk.

It's basically an upgraded at2020, and very much worth the money for the mic. It sounds just as good if not better then more expensive options, within reasonable expectations. It's not going to compete with an vintage mic, nor is it going to compete with a much more expensive mic with a specific sound signature. But for a flat, basic microphone, it is one of the best within it's price range. It picks up vocals where it is supposed to and drastically reduces sound from things like speakers positioned behind it. It is probably the best microphone you can get for video calls, streaming, and other activities where sound cancelation is important. Paired with a basic XLR interface with phantom power and it is the most clear you can get for your coworkers or friends for a very reasonable price. As someone that does work remote and as someone that hangs out with friends having a good mic is very important. My at2020 usb started having issues so it was only a natural progression to get the next tier up and an inherently better usb interface for it. I love this mic and your coworkers will thank you, if they are anything like me.

I am using the microphone to record my voice for work and private uses. I tested it against the Shure Headset WH20 and the Sennheiser e835. The ears told me that the AT2020 is the better mic. I did a Reveal analysis in Peak Pro 6 (shows the gain response vs. frequency). The AT2020 showed a wider frequency range response than either the Shure or the Sennheiser mics. Before, I hated to hear my recorded voice. Now I can easily listen to it, even though I don't have the Radio Voice.

I bought this Rode WS2 windscreen for my Audio Technica AT2020 USB Plus microphone and it fits perfectly. Just what I needed and priced reasonably. Also, B&H Photo ships fast!

I am using this mount with an at2020 and a boom stand it is great! But it may not fit unless you remove the little metal peice that is in the connector peice

In photos, this stand looks a bit flimsy/spindly. It's so affordable, I purchased one despite the appearance, looking for stand to hold an AT2020 on the desktop of a friend I'm working with, producing music for streamed church services. I was skeptical it would stably hold the AT2020, since that mic is fairly large, and its mounting clip makes it sit in front of the vertical tube on the stand. But I was surprised at the high quality of the stand once I got it, and happy to find that it has no problem stably holding the AT2020 cabled up on a desk. It comes with a decent quality carrying case that is split into two pockets with separate zippers, so you could store a small cable in it with the stand. I was so happy with it that I picked up a second one on my next order for my own use.

The stand is great and works just fine. I use it with the AT2020 from Audio Technica and it works without a problem. Definitely not the best stand for professionals, but if you are looking for a low price yet sturdy stand, this is the one to get. No complaints so far and I would buy this again.
