If you have a lot of loose hard drive but don't want to buy an enclosure for each drive, you need this docking station.

This hard drive docking station is terific in a lab environment or anywhere you need to format or image a large volume of drives. It supports both 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch drives over USB 3.0 so speed is not an issue. When connecting the smaller 2.5 inch drives a plastic shield pops up to protect the internals from dust, etc. If I had to change one thing about this docking station it would be to have a similar protection shield when no drives are in use but this is only a minor annoyance. This docking station was easy to set up. The quality of it seems to be nice and the docking station looks premium. It seems to be working flawlessly for what I need. I really like that it is light and works nicely with my Chromebook and 2 monitors. The packaging comes with UD-MSTHDC Docking Station, power adapter, USB-C and USB-C cable.

I bought this because I had an old IDE hard drive laying around for years that I needed to clean the data out of. Here is something to keep in mind... if you are connecting an old IDE drive up, be sure that the jumpers are set properly (if applicable). For some odd reason, one of my jumpers was in the wrong position, so I thought the adapter wasn't working at first. Once I noticed the jumper and fixed it, everything worked fine.

I have had this case for a couple years now. As someone who runs a project studio and it's a media junkie, I was looking for storage abd backup options outside of my NAS unit. So I bought a dual slot HDD docking station that connects to my computer via USB and started buying high capacity internal drives. I wrote the drives in this case, and when I need data off any of the drives, I pull the case out, find the drive I need, and drop it into the docking station. Worship the wise, the case is identical to all the other hard shell cases I have for other studio gear. It's rugged and the foam inside is cut perfectly for the drives. The foam isalso made of anti static material, so you're drives are safe from static electricity shocks. Well worth the price. As my drive count grows, I'll be grabbing another one of these.

This horizontal docking station is easy to use and is a better design than the units where the drive is mounted vertically. I've had two other vertical docking stations and they both quit working after light use.
