Audio Software For Logitech 5.1 Speakers

As most of you have noticed by now, it's extremely difficult to find software drivers in an audio interface that also work with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound in Windows. Focusrite makes awesome drivers for Windows that work in both ASIO and WDM. I previously fought for over two years with an expensive Antelope Discreet 8 Synergy Core interface. Antelope's drivers on Windows are slow and unreliable AND they do not work in any way for 5.1 surround setups outside of the DAW. I consulted with the Antelope audio engineers and they said that their drivers will not work for 5.1 games or movies. I'm never buying another Antelope interface ever again! The Antelope hardware is great, but the drivers are garbage for Windows users. There's a night and day different between Antelope's drivers and Focusrite's drivers in Windows. The Focusrite Control software also searches and handles any firmware updates automatically. After you install the Focusrite Control drivers, in you Windows Sound options you can click on the Focusrite USB driver and get a Configure button at the bottom. Clicking on that Configure button takes you to the Speaker Configuration where you have the following choices: Stereo, Quadraphonic, 5.1 Surround, and 7.1 Surround. From there any games you play that have 5.1 surround like, Alien Isolation, Division 2, Tome Raider, etc. will work perfectly! Also movies going through my Cyberlink Power DVD software sound amazing! By the way, for my setup, I'm running the Scarlet 18i20 3rd Gen, two Adam A77Xs and three Adam A7Xs (looking to also get an Adam Sub8 in the near future). So if you are a 5.1 sound junky like I am, and you want your DAW, your games, and your movies to run through your audio interface with reliable drivers that just work in Windows... then you'll want to stick with Focusrite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Logitech G Yeti GX makes for a great gaming, streaming, or video production microphone. The stand the mic comes with is easy to assemble, and screws right on. It's stable and has some nice weight to it. The Yeti GX connects via USB-C from the microphone to USB-A that is fed into my Mac system. It was recognized immediately by my computer with no issues. You could really dial in the audio settings on the microphone by using the Logitech G HUB software. The software is clear and easy to use. The mic features a gain wheel and mute button on the side that is easily accessible. The nice blue light on the mic really makes the mic stand out and just looks premium. It is perfect for those who stream and like to show off their computer setups in video. The Yeti GX has great noise suppression, and has built in anti clipping software that prevents audio distortion. This mic has been a lifesaver for me with my video production and voiceover projects. The audio on my projects is super clear and just sounds very professional. I don't even have to adjust the audio in my projects anymore, it's perfect from the get go. This saves me so much time. As a bonus, I also use this mic for my work online meetings through Google Meet and Zoom and the audio is clean and clear. Having the Yeti GX standalone mic has been a game changer for me and I will never go back to an internal mic again. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take their projects to the next level.

I bought the Z906 to replace my aging Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1 system with a failing amp. I loved the Klipsch speakers, but sadly Klipsch (and seemingly everyone else other than Logitech) has stopped making 5.1 multimedia systems. Thankfully Logitech makes a pretty good unit. The real draw to something like this, in my opinion, is if you want a relatively compact, reasonably-priced, good-sounding setup that you can easily plug a computer into. I've used this sort of setup in my living room with great results, and at a fraction of the cost of buying separate components. Since my computer has pretty solid sound-processing capability, I don't have the need for all the extra features of a stand-alone receiver. The Logitech Z906 packs quite a punch and sounds almost as good as the Klipsch in most situations. Pluses for the Z906 are it's built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoding (for things like an XBox) and its included remote control. True, it doesn't handle the Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD soundtracks on Blu-Ray discs, but my computer does, and so the analog pass-through from the PC into the Z906 makes this unnecessary in my case anyway. The Z906 seems solidly built, and is easy to install with its standard speaker mount points and spring-lock speaker wire connectors. One very minor quibble is that the power cable is permanently attached to the sub (the Klipsch used a detachable C14 computer-style plug). Overall, I'm very happy with the Z906.

The Logitech software is a real plus, so I can experiment with lights while not connected.

I use this to control audio volumes out from my computer with knobs not software , control amplified speakers and a separate headset control , i could easily add instruments or micro phone to my computer recordings , its pure analog so no USB , sounds really great better than straight computer to speakers i think , a little preamp is inside and it helps , but keep in mind its a mackie mixer and who does a better job of mixer design ? not many if any , its a little tank i needed a little interface and this is over the top nice for me

This 2.1 system by far is the best set-up I have ever owned from Logitech. Speakers are crisp and clean, lows are low and highs or high. I use these while gaming, as my PA speakers when I'm making my style of music(electro house) on FLStudio and mixing while using my DJ Pioneer DDJ-800 controller. Thanks Logitech for making such a fine product, and never discontinue these great speakers. Thanks

Works as advertised. Software is a bit hard to find on Logitech’s website.

I am impressed by the Awesome Audio from these speakers. I replaced speakers that were almost fourteen years that required a volume adjust between voice and other audio. If the voice was too low I had to raise the volume and then lower the volume for other audio and vice versa. With the Sony Speakers one setting for volume between voice and other audio is all that is required for watching movies. There are audio in previous viewed movies that I have never heard before. Great choice for Speakers!

I have always had great luck with and have been very satisfied with Logitech products. This Bluetooth Audio Adapter was very easy to set up and allowed me to choose multiple audio connections - depending on the device you want to connect to (RCA or 3.5mm connections). I would recommend this device to anyone wanting to upgrade an older audio system or speakers to Bluetooth connectivity.
